Work-Experience (2 years of IT-Experience)
Fall/Summer-2009
Clients
Volunteered at Market E's, as an iphone developer to port their web
solutions on iphone(Fall-2009).
I learnt obj-C and tried to create some iphone apps(an organiser, a torch,
a game "gadabout" KVH
an iphone treasure hunt). I am working on a new app called iRambo (a
game)(Summer, 2009). Cable & WireLess
Cardinal Health
Design Analyst at Wipro Technologies (Aug,2006 to July,2008)
I Integrated the front end system with Siebel for KVH-Japan(Dec,07-July,08)
on the project "WOMS". Programming Skills
This project was aimed at execution of work orders sent out for the
employees to get the telecom C/C++/Objective-C/Java
business set-up, fixed and relocated. I also participated in the
requirement phase which included client
python/XML/SOAP/REST
interaction, estimating time by BALLPARK estimation for project,
development using webMethods tools, Prolog/Poweloom/matlab
production deployment phase on cluster server and performing maintainence
for the deployed system. I SPIN/Assembly Language
project engineer for Cable & Wireless-UK(July,07-Nov,07) on development of
socket using Toad, Eclipse, Xcode,Dashcode
Java to be used in webMethods to enable the transfer of data between,
Clarify-webMethods-IBM-Qs. Cocoa-touch, webMethods
I worked as the Project Engineer at Cardinal Health-USA(Nov,06-June,07) and
developed a tool GXS-AI, Unix, Mac-OS, DOS
that automates the translation of maps from Gentran to GXS maps and saves
60% of man-hour. It was Player/Stage, OpenCV,sba
designed, developed and executed by my team and I played all the roles in
it. openGL,Perl, javaScript, JSON

Wii-Fit game for the patients at Medical School
Spring-2010
Developing a wii-fit game for the patients of Keck Medical School using
Panda3D library for python.
Android Projects
iRIS : This Android app is for the disabled people to use to detect color.
Spring-2010
This is an open source project, which is developed on Android phone, which
aims at helping disabled people to detect color which they cant not see.
This is an app, which can be used by color-blind to get the color. We used
camera as our main device to get the pictures and detect color.
USC-Guide : This Android app is a guide for the tourists at USC
Spring-2010
This app is a help for all the tourists who come to USC and want to go to
get the direction along the campus. We used, text-to-speech, google-map-
apis, A-star algorithm, sql-lite features of Android.
Abnormal Gait detection : This Android app is aimed at detecting abnormal
gaits. Spring-2009
This app is being developed with an aim to help people detect their gait if
they are drunk or not. We are using Accelerometer data to get the pattern
of movement. We further use WEKA, to classify this data and to match it to
the
ground truth.
Landmark Modeling based localization in mobile robots
Fall-2009
The problem of localization of mobile robots in dynamic environment is
still a challenging task. We tried to
propose a solution to it by modeling the dynamic landmarks either static or
dynamic. The localization
is based on the ekf-slam using distance flters for the landmarks. The robot
kidnapped problem was solved
using probabilities associated with dynamic landmarks by taking in acocunt
the change in distanceof the landmarks
from previous iterations.
