. Significant Projects:
o Researched, designed, constructed, and tested a continuous
bioreactor for cultivation of a rare and medicinally
advantageous species of fungus.
o Researched and developed an innovative method to employ a
commercial video game controller as a component of a relatively
inexpensive motion tracking system.

Vibrations, Mechanics of Materials, Comprehensive
Electrical Engineering, Safety Engineering, Ethics in
Engineering
Leadership and Teamwork Experience:
. In collaboration with two peers, completed the research and design
portions of a bi-semester design project that concluded with a formal
report and presentation to faculty and peers.
. Supervised the operations of an entire valet service. Enforced
policies, trained employees, and kept them focused and driven.
. Volunteered personal time to assist in playground development for
local elementary schools.

. Microsoft Office Suite 2007
. Gained exposure to C++ and PBASIC programming languages as well as
LabVIEW for graphical programming.
. Utilized various brands of data acquisition units and loggers in
combination with various (bio)sensors such as thermocouples, surface
electrodes for electromyography, fluorometers, and pH probes.
. Utilized various laboratory equipment relevant to the materials
science, biomedical, and engineering fields such as an Instron
Dynamic and Fatigue system to interrogate material properties, an NMR
spectrometer to measure fat content of animal models, and single beam
as well as micro-volume spectrophotometers.
Work Experience:
Administrative Assistant
February 2009-Present
American Council of Engineering Companies of Louisiana
Baton Rouge, LA
Prepare for and participate in monthly board meetings alongside 16-20
principals and/or owners of engineering firms across
the state of Louisiana. Manage databases and troubleshoot hardware and
software issues. Worked directly with the treasurer
to develop a new dues structure for member firms.
Biomedical Research Assistant
January 2008-January 2009
Pennington Biomedical Research Center
Baton Rouge, LA
Assisted in extraction and preparation of tissue samples for
histology. Entrusted with many unsupervised duties, most notably
given full responsibility over the nurturing and measuring of the
animal models as well as treating and staining slides for
immunohistochemistry. Applied sterile techniques and precisely
followed protocols to conduct research procedures.
Engineering Research Assistant
January 2007-August 2007
Louisiana State University
Baton Rouge, LA
Developed a portable measuring device to replace an outmoded bulky
fluorometer currently used in the agricultural
engineering industry. Gained working knowledge of microprocessors,
data acquisition instruments, and LabView.
