Goal:
I chose to become a nurse because I enjoy helping people. Working in
the operating room has truly given me that opportunity. When you see a
patient who is anxious about their surgery and you tell them it's going to
be fine, because you have done hundreds of cases like this one. To see
that apprehension disappear and calmness come over their faces, words can
not express the joy I feel in my heart for them.
Professional Schools:
I attend Oakwood College/ University at 7000 Adventist Blvd. Huntsville,
Alabama.
In 1981 to 1984, this is where I received my Associate Science Degree in
Nursing. I previously
Attended Wayne County Community College in Detroit, Michigan from 1974 to
1976
This is where I received my Associate of Arts Degree in Liberal Arts.
Working on my bachelor degree at Chamberlain College/ Devry University will
be finished in October 2009.

I worked at Humana Hospital 901 Humana Dr., Huntsville, Alabama. From:
2/1985
To: 8/1985 I worked on a surgical floor as a staff nurse giving primary
nursing to patients who would be going to surgery the next day. Starting
Pay: $7.95/ hr. Ending Pay: $7.95/hr working 40 hours per week.
I worked at Hutzel Hospital 4701 St. Antoine Detroit, MI. I worked at this
facility for seven years. From: 10/1985 to: 6/1992 my first year of working

On a medical floor where we took care of patient who had common diseases
from
Diabetes to Hypertension etc. In 1986 I applied to work in the Operating
Room.
