(2004 - 2007) Founded and managed SealPak Innovations Inc. Company based on
invention of an automobile weight adding device known as ShurTrax.
Implemented complete start up of operation - awarded 2 patents for products
known as ShurTrax & UpFront Seats - performed all facets from prototypes, raw
material acquisition, production startup, shipping, accounting, sales,
marketing, and human resource functions.

Lean Coordinator - Liebert North America
Completed 3 week "Lean Champions" course at parent company Emerson in St.
Louis.
Successfully integrated "Lean" into the manufacturing processes by
introducing such tools as Kaizen blitz events, Kanban, 5S, Poka Yoke, Setup
Reduction (SMED), and Autonomous Maintenance.
Use Value Stream Mapping to find Non-Value added waste and immediately
implemented lean tools to remove the pre-measured constraint.
Conduct Lean-training classes, with completion of over 1100 associates
(including manufacturing engineering staff) using train-then-do thinking.
Each kaizen event was driven by pre-event measurables and improvements were
met in each. ***Example: Sheet Metal department - Value Stream Map led to
reducing WIP inventory by $250K, increased on time delivery from 85% to 98%,
while freeing up 10% floor space by removing in process racking. The lean
tools utilized for these improvements were Kanban, 5S, and SMED.
Over $2MM in WIP inventory reductions attributed to Lean Implementation.

Plant start up. Designed plant layout for this new company venture with Lesco
a manufacturer of Commercial Outdoor Power Equipment using Lean and Flow
techniques. Start up schedule and budget was met.
Managed $50MM/year manufacturing plant with over 150 employees. Responsible
for scheduling, all assembly lines, power and free conveyored powder paint
system, service parts department, and material handling
Performed capacity requirements plan and established spreadsheets to
illustrate plant thruput, on time delivery and quality 1st pass rate
Continually assisted Engineering department to make ergonomic improvements
Hired and trained a high quality work force, which emphasized excellence in

Production Manager (1993 - 1997)
MTD/Arnold Aftermarket Division

Responsible for all aspects of managing and operating maintenance, welding,
powder paint, assembly, fabrication, OEM/Arnold replacement parts packaging,
service parts, and quality assurance departments for 14 supervisors and 500+
employees in a 3-shift operation.
Responsible for complete & successful implementation of Powder Paint Process,
including 5-Stage Washer, Bake & Dry-off Ovens, 2 manual, and 2 Automatic
Reclaim Booths.
Took the division from 78% to 94% efficiency; total job utilization went to
88%; and averaged 94% on quality in-house and corporate audit scores
Managed seasonal demands and annual growth as sales increased from $30MM to
$120MM in 4 years.
Regularly developed time and cost-saving ideas for updating, maintaining, and
creating equipment and preventive maintenance practices.
Responsible for material handling techniques and equipment used in picking,
packing, and sortation; using Radio Frequency equipment.
Member of MTD Corporate Assembly Productivity Team for 2 years. (Continuous
Improvement Implementation) / This team moved MTD production philosophy away
from Mass Production and into Lean Manufacturing Techniques. Sub-assembly
departments were incorporated into the assembly line processes.
Prepared and monitored a total of 12 departmental budgets, covering the 3
shift operation.
