fashion, safety apparel and military market. Supplier Defender M Army
combat uniform, certified Dupont Kevlar, Nomex spinner. Certified Invista
nylon spinner, largest sales yarn producer of nylon yarns for military and
industrial market. Lavonia manufacturing plants employ 470 associates,
Ring, OE spinning and twisting, cotton, polyester, nylon, kevlar, nomex,
modacrylic fibers. Annual sales in 2009 were 75 million. Wellstone Mills is
formerly TNS Mills. I have a combined employment of 18 years with this
company.
Brodnax Mills- Sr. VP Operations, November 2002-May 2007. Specialty ring
spinner, engineered yarns, cotton, flax, and solution-dyed polyester,
rayon, heather yarns. Employment 100. Resigned rejoined former company
responsible to start up new operation in Honduras, and dual role of
Director Process Improvement and R&D.
Mount Vernon Mills-Alto Yarn Division, Location Manager- December 1997-
April 2002. Carded Ring, OE spun, slub yarns, 100% rayon. Employment 240,
annual sales were 25 million. Yarn Division was eliminated, reduction of
all management staff, joined Brodnaz Mills as Sr. VP Operations.
Lorber Industries of Texas- Project Manager/Operations Manager June 1997-
November 1997.
(Temporary position, design and construction of new OE yarn plant with
option to remain employed as operations manager.) Resigned joined MVM as
location manager.
TNS Mills, Inc-Plant Manager, Plant Engineer, Blacksburg Plant, Vice
President Manufacturing, Vice President Sales, April 1982-May 1997. Non-
woven Geo- textiles, Woven Geo-textiles, woven sheeting fabrics, specialty
fabrics, Ring, OE, plied, CP/KP, polyester blends. Employment 2,000, annual
sales 300 million. Resigned accepted job with Lorber Industries of Texas.
Burlington Industries- Manufacturing Trainee, Supervisor Carding,
Supervisor Spinning, Supervisor Weaving, Department Head Carding,
Department Head Spinning, December 1974-April 1982. Upon graduation from
college began textile career as a manufacturing trainee at Caroleen Plant,
promoted to higher level jobs at Phenix and Ranlo Plants.

Recent Accomplishments:
New product development in military, safety apparel, flame retardant and
cut resistant fabric markets. Designed new yarns using wool, modal, rayon,
tencel, nylon, nomex, kevlar, nylon and modacrylic. Yarns were designed for
cold weather applications; flame retardant with silicone finishes. Reduced
Lavonia Manufacturing Plants accident incident rate by 50% in 2009 over
2008. Improved plant efficiency in 2009 over 2008. Conducted Feasibility
study to relocate manufacturing equipment to Honduras cancelled project due
to lower ROI. Project manager, designed, installed WELL-SPUN labs, a pilot
plant capable of producing samples that are duplicated in production.
Trained in Lean Manufacturing, Lean Six Sigma, Toyota way, worked with
Japanese technicians for 15 years utilizing total quality management
systems in the manufacturing process.
