Highlights of Accomplishments
. Semiconductor Product Management, Product Support, Customer Interface
o Collaborated on next generation filter housing designs with regard to
form/fit/function for semiconductor industry end users and equipment
suppliers
o Analyzed market segments that resulted in portfolio for CMP market-
Millipore was viewed as leader in this area
o Defined slurry properties that were critical to the CMP process and
worked extensively with CMP suppliers to determine the slurry properties
that could be modified while not affecting polishing or etch rates.
Because this was an emerging technology, little was known and very little
collaboration existed between suppliers and or end users.
o Increased product awareness by conducting training seminars on CMP
process and equipment to sales and technical groups, emphasizing the key
areas of importance to Millipore filtration products
o Increased value add at key semiconductor customers by working onsite at
such customers as Intel, Motorola, LSI, AMD and various OEM's to resolve
proper usage of filters or housings. Recommended filtration schemes,
monitoring and educated equipment engineers.
o Collaborated with customers' engineering organizations by presenting
training seminars to customers and new hires on filter selection, test
methodologies to determine quality and effectiveness of filters, and in-
line methods to be used in ensure quality processing of wafers in the
microelectronics industry while at Millipore.
o Responsible for NPD introductions in US, trained sales and traveled to
Semi technology innovators to introduce new products.
o Developed branding campaign at Shipley to create corporate identity to
customers
o Standardized business processes and formats for product launches at
Shipley worldwide in conjunction with Stage Gate process.
o Reduced time to market by 6 months in process development cycle working
with quality group utilizing statistical analysis and historical data
sets to eliminate unnecessary and costly qualification testing.
. Project Management, Team Leadership and Fiscal Awareness
o Defined program under tight deadlines for competitive analysis on plastic
chip products to drive product packaging investment decisions. The
program enabled engineers to gain the most knowledge depending on the
amount of material they had for analysis to make faster decisions on
material and process equipment.
o Led global project team (sales, marketing, R&D, Applications) which
defined and launched intranet based data sharing software to enable
sales, marketing and technical groups to share new product evaluations,
technical data, and customer presentations. Eliminated duplicate efforts
and enabled sales to collaborate on joint efforts.
o Drove organization of lead management database including prioritization,
ownership and correlation to marketing programs.
o Led NPD that was able to reduce time to market by 6 months in process
development cycle working with quality group utilizing statistical
analysis and historical data sets to eliminate unnecessary and costly
qualification testing
o Developed incoming screening protocol for manufacturing on material that
reduced failure rate from up to 20% to <5% until problem at supplier
could be determine. Used screening data and analysis to identify
supplier problem and initiated change order at no cost to company.
