Executive Project Manager, Senior Project Manager
. Improved serviceability of IBM equipment, reduced maintenance costs, and
increased customer up-time by leading the development of a program of
Electronic Service projects.
- Managed the budget, schedule, and scope of a multi-million dollar
portfolio of simultaneous projects. Each project, the largest of
which was $4M, was completed on time and on budget.
- Led process quality through compliance with standard management
systems. Two projects were selected for internal CMM Level 5 reviews,
and both passed with 100% compliance. Piloted Enterprise Portfolio
Management using Rational Portfolio Manager, formerly PMOffice.
- Reduced software work-in-process inventory by 80% by championing Agile
techniques, such as scrum, burn-down, User Stories, and Continuous
Integration.
- Reduced costs by 20% with the addition of Global Resources.
- Led worldwide support of Electronic Service Agent customers, avoiding
a single critical customer situation.
- Ensured IBM's ownership of all copyright and other rights in that
software are properly documented, from the time the code is written
until final use by acting as the single point of contact with legal
counsel.

. Provided a $20B professional services firm with a one-stop-shop for
information by developing an internal portal for Human Resources, Travel,
and Knowledge Management.
- Defined the project. Produced the Project Charter and Project
Definition, ensuring stakeholder buy-in.
- Controlled the Scope. Led the Project Office, prioritizing and
approving Change Requests which determined core functionality,
applications, and content of the portal and directed the ten full-time
developers and dozens of part-time stakeholders and subject matter
experts.
- Improved Communications. Developed standards for issue logging and
resolution, system change requests, and the process for entering
requests into the Development Process.
. Provided a virtual external presence for a new $6B consultancy by
developing a new external web site.
- Defined the project. Produced Project Charter, Work Plan, Budget,
Communications Plan, Content Management Tools Selection, Security
Requirements, Software Bill of Materials, Infrastructure Requirements,
Scalability Requirements, Operations and Support Plan, including
Service level requirements.
- Managed the project. Ensured successful delivery of information
architecture to meet requirements and facilitated design sessions with
multi-national design team. The full-time project team of two
information architects, two communications specialists, two developers
and six designers was supplemented with dozens of part-time
stakeholders and subject matter experts.
- Sourced the project. Developed RFP to Hosting Vendor.

Senior Manager, Manager, Senior Consultant, and Consultant
Program Manager - Grew capabilities of Consulting practice and deepened the
Firm's relationship with vendor alliance partners by broadening the scope
of an SAP Global Training Centre to an ERP Global Training Centre.
. Identified needs for instruction in additional technologies, such as i2,
Manugistics, Siebel, PeopleSoft, and Oracle Applications. Developed
training materials, lined up initial internal sponsors, led the hiring of
lead subject matter experts, negotiated alliances with vendors, and
ensured that training was delivered.
. Managed to multi-million dollar capital and operating budgets for items
such as hardware, software, training materials, internal and external
trainers, and participant travel expenses.
. Managed Technical Staff responsible for 6 SMP Unix servers and over 200
PCs, enabling hands-on technical training for hundreds of simultaneous
corporate participants.
. Led the development of the Firm's first distance learning tool, a
"Virtual University", providing ERP instruction via Internet-based

. Contributed to the development of an E-Business Curriculum for a global

. Managed the technical staff enabling a team of 85 to develop a three-tier
client-server Customer Relationship Management System.
. Developed a Systems Development Methodology for Leveraged Software from
the Price Waterhouse Public Utility Group. Developed to the Stage, Phase,
and Task level, this methodology detailed a work breakdown structure for
the tasks required to customize the three-tier leveraged software product
for various clients. Organizational and Technical Infrastructure issues
were addressed.
. Developed, documented, and presented to top management roles and
responsibilities, observations, issues, and recommendations for
improvement to the data center operations supporting retailer and
cardholder processing.
. Taught a three-week DB2 class, enabling entry-level consultants to become
productive on a large client engagement.
. Improved a securities accounting and reporting development effort by
comparing the effort to best practices in areas such as requirements
fulfillment, system design and development methodology, and project
management and control.
. Standardized the future strategic systems of an international financing
organization by analyzing and selecting strategic systems development and
