Responsible for providing training, support and mentoring to purchasing
professionals. Teach seminars as well as set up conferences, manage the web
site, and qualify speakers. This is a volunteer position with a non-
profit organization.
Taught seminars nationally for purchasing professionals in the discipline
of global sourcing, strategic purchasing, and relationship management.

I was brought in as a consultant to complete a gap analysis of the sourcing
function. During this time I was given direct responsibility for this
function as well as the quality systems, test engineering, and the
manufacturing engineering functions. With an organizational chart in
sourcing of five, but only one staffed team member we were able to prepare
for and pass a critical corporate systems audit in less than six weeks. We
found 8% in cost savings in two months, set up a complete purchasing filing
system, and supplier profile system, as well as repairing the relationships
with several key partners. To date for 2010 we have 5% cost savings
booked, have added two key commodity managers, and began structuring a long
term sourcing strategy.
