Responsible for the daily operation of a contract manufacturing company comprised of hourly and salaried staff
including engineers, material specialists, and a skilled labor force.
• Revitalized the Lean / 5S initiative on the manufacturing floor using a hands on approach to
reorganize individual work areas and structure the work flow. This reorganization directly resulted in the award of
several large contracts.
• Upgraded the skill level of the workforce through training, cross training and new hires allowing
the company to acquire new business not previously possible
• Using Kaizen and other Lean tools introduced new technology such as robotics, laser projection,
Kanban signals and other processes that directly reduced the cost and improved the quality of all manufactured product
while minimizing the resistance to change from longtime associates.
• Negotiated with major suppliers to create partnership deals thereby reducing the initial quoting
time and overall delivery time.

Rampf Molds Industries is a manufacturer of design to build molds and products for the precast concrete industry. As
Manufacturing Manager I lead the Company's North American manufacturing operations which included a Canadian
facility. Responsible for productivity, on time delivery, quality and financial goals as well as insuring a properly sized
cross trained work force at both facilities. Involved in strategic planning and charged with rolling out company
initiatives to the manufacturing area while insuring that lean activities were aligned with these Strategic goals. Worked
closely with the engineering group to drive lean thinking to the design process. Visit customers in conjunction with
sales to facilitate more customer focus in the design, manufacture, and R&D areas of the organization. Involved in
planning a major expansion that doubled manufacturing capacity in North America.
• Rearranged the manufacturing floor and processes using lean cellular concepts resulting in a
40% productivity increase
• Introduced Kanban and Vendor Managed Inventory to raw materials and consumables allowing
cells to do their own reordering
