SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE
Thirty years of commercial banking and related experience in all phases of
commercial banking and lending including, strategic planning, start-up,
marketing, lending with an emphasis on commercial lending and fifteen years
as a Chief Executive Officer and ownership experience. Background includes
the formation of a major life insurance company including C.E.O. duties for
more than 10 years, start up including a bank and a financial software
company which was sold to a Dallas based N.Y. stock exchange company of
which I served as C.E.O. of the financial software division for several
years. My experience includes ownership of a non-bank lending company
specializing in the origination and servicing of commercial loans in a
range of $1 million to more than $500 million through out the U.S. This
wide range of financial experience has prepared me for the most challenging
opportunities that I desire to put to work in either working direct for a
commercial bank or serving as a Loan Production Officer for a number of
banks desiring a Dallas, Texas presence originating a regional or U.S.
source of bank quality Commercial Lending Opportunities and full banking
relationships when possible.

June 1977 to
May 1984
Midwest Bankers Life Insurance Company and Midwest Bankers, Inc., Derby,
Kansas
I chartered this company in 1977. I owned controlling interest and set up a
unique concept of bringing other producing agents into the company as
owner/producers. These included both bankers and automobile dealers. The
concept allowed them to purchase stock directly related to their annual
life insurance production. This company prospered and was sold in 1984.
June 1977 to
May 1980
First National Bank of Derby, Derby, Kansas, Owner and President
The opportunity was presented to purchase this bank which was chartered in
1975. I purchased the bank and over the next few years it tripled in size
and profits. I sold controlling interest in this bank in 1980.
June 1972 to
June 1977
Farmers & Merchants State Bank of Derby, Derby, Kansas
I came to this bank as Executive V.P. and chief lending officer. When I
joined the bank it had total footings of $16 million, it was not automated
and had no accrual system in place. Upon joining this bank a right of first
refusal to purchase the bank was part of my employment contract. Over the
next few years the bank was automated and the accounting was converted to
an accrual system. The bank grew to over $60 million in assets during my
time there.
October 1971
to June 1972
First National Bank of Chanute, Kansas
I joined this bank to help the new ownership group organize the bank. I was
a member of the board of the bank and was hired as C.E.O. It became
apparent shortly thereafter that one individual had a disagreement about
this point. Rather than having this ongoing conflict I made the decision to
resign for the benefit of the bank and all concerned.

June 1967 to
October 1971
Emporia State Bank, Emporia, Kansas
I joined this bank as Vice President and Cashier. In this position I was in
charge of the total operation of the bank and also had the largest and most
active loan portfolio. It was at this bank that it was discovered that I
had an interest and aptitude for computers. The ownership of the bank made
the decision to install an in-house mainframe computer system. This became
my responsibility to install and convert the total operation to an NCR
Century Series in house mainframe which was successfully accomplished. In
addition we sold computer time and processing to other area banks and
businesses.
November 1966
to June 1967
Table Rock State Bank, Table Rock, Nebraska
I joined this bank as President and C.E.O and was the only loan officer. In
addition I prepared most of the tax returns for the businesses located in
the county. During my tenure I was able to dramatically increase deposits
and profitability.
October 1962
to Nov 1966
Lawrence National Bank, Lawrence, Kansas
I joined this bank as an assistant vice president in charge of operations
and operations personnel of the bank. In addition, I prepared the statement
of condition and assisted the Chief Executive Officer in investments for
the bank.

October 1962

This is where I started my banking career as a book-keeper posting debits
and credits. I advanced to head-teller and then into operations as an
assistant vice president.
Education
Sapulpa High School, Sapulpa, Oklahoma - Graduated in top 10%
Graduate of Dale Carnegie Salesmanship Course
Numerous American Institute of Banking classes
My formal education primarily consisted of on the job training over the

that I have had the pleasure of being involved with. It is my opinion that
this is the most valuable education that one can receive and I am fortunate
for it.

and various community organizations over the years, i.e. drive leader for
Community Chest, American Heart and Easter Seal drive chairman. I have
