Career Summary
Senior Human Resources Professional with roughly 10 years of development
within HR. My experience includes working effectively across all areas of
Human Resources including: benefits administration, employee relations,
OSHA/Workers Comp, payroll, industrial and labor relations, extensive
recruiting, experience, compliance investigations, strategic HR planning

Human Resources Manager/Acting Director-HCC Industries
Specific duties include:
. Manage Human Resources function with roughly 823 employees in 5
states.
. Oversee Recruiting function.
. Directly supervise 1 Human Resources Coordinator and 4 HR Managers.
. Work with Managers to prepare Senior Management with information such
as OSHA and Workers Comp financial information, headcount reporting,
turnover rations, COBRA costs, Unemployment costs, and labor
reporting.
. Project work includes: implementing a time and attendance system (ADP-
TimeSaver), correcting and re issuing all employee handbooks within
each business unit, revised vacation policies by state (non
compliance), Created an HR Audit checklist for HCC which looked for
compliance in areas such as I9 documentation, personnel files, OSHA
reporting, legality of terminations and disciplinary actions,
training, as well as Applicant tracking and recruiting compliance.

Specific duties include:
. Managed Human Resources function in a Union Environment with locations
across 29 locations in 19 states. Roughly 75% travel. This business
unit was roughly 1,500 employees

. Directly supervised 1 Human Resources Generalist.
. Partnered with Sr. Leadership to plan HR budget and communication
issues within each branch.
. The majority of my time was spent in recruiting, conducting Corporate
Compliance investigations, and/or grievance processes as well as
Arbitration. This included thoroughly understanding all Federal
Regulations such as: Civil Rights Act, Fair Labor Standards Act,
Americans with Disabilities Act, ADEA, Equal Pay Act, Family and
Medical Leave Act, as well as State Laws and Regulations

Specific duties include:
. Manage Human Resources function for roughly 80 employees within the
business unit.
. Oversee Recruiting function
. Began training as a HR Manager through my mentor Brenda Harmon. VP of
HR at CONTECH. Mrs. Harmon also became a close mentor and friend from
my previous employer, AK Steel. I left ACNielsen to back and work for
her again.
. Duties included employee relations, FMLA administration; benefit
claims assistance, and recruiting. I began recruiting at this
organization. I typically held about 20 requisitions at one time.
ACNielsen-(June 2003 to November 2005)
HR Specialist
Specific duties include:
. Primary responsibility was recruiting. Screened resumes, interview,
prepare offer letters, and run background checks. Held roughly 30-40
requisitions at one time
. Responsible for updating and tracking Applicant Logs. Submitted
Applicant Tracking Logs on an annual basis to Corporate Human
Resources
. Involved in implementing a new ATS system. Used Peopleclick for a
year and a half. The organization decided to switch to BrassRing. I
assisted in this process. Primarily transferring data.
AK Steel-(June 2001 to June 2003)
Benefits Administrator (union facility)
Specific duties include:
. Began as a Human Resources Assistant directly out of college. In this
position I recruited and hired 30 employees per month. This was an
article in the Union contract that was required to be met. I was
promoted to a Benefits Administrator in which I handled incoming calls
and benefits claims on a daily basis.
