Project Safety Director/ Fowler Ridge Wind Farm

Lead Safety Director (wind turbine erection contractor) for
the largest Mega-Watt Wind Farm project in North America.
Conducted over 300 Safety Orientations. Developed site
safety plan, performed daily site audits. Worked closely
with owner representative to resolve safety problems. Crane
and rigging safety overview with site engineers. Overseen
critical lift plans that included over one thousand dual
crane lifts. Worked closely with BP Alternative Energy and
General Contractor WindConnect on implementing project
safety compliance and behavioral based safety programs.
Worked in cooperation with Project manager to implement and
manage safety incentive award program. Conducted weekly
safety meetings with foreman to guide them on BBS audits.
Completed this project with over 300k man-hours with no
lost time injuries and only 1 OSHA recordable injury. Also
help develop complex emergency action procedures for tower
rescue inside the wind turbines. Developed a near-miss
program that was a key component to the successful safety
record.
