Worked as a Junior Developer on a DBMS Project, which is now being used by
the students in the university, which involved design and development of
Interactive Student Information System (ISIS). This project involved
creating and managing the database for all the students in the University.
The ISIS provided the student to access grades in various courses taken in
a given semester, tuition information, personal and demographic data. The
front end is developed using HTML and the middle tier is implemented using
Java and Java Servlets. The student data was stored on an Oracle database.

Worked as Teaching Assistant and assisted
students in developing various projects during their course work. One of
such projects include designing and developing a Computer Aided Riser
design (CARD), which supports the necessary tools which are required for
calculating the riser dimensions for both complex casting and simple
casting Riser. The CARD finds the diameter at the assumed height value of
riser and plots a graph. The CARD application was developed using Visual
Basic.

Projects:
. Simulated a Toy Train using OpenGL and Visual C++. The simulation
includes moving the train in horizontal & vertical directions,
rotating the train, filling the train cars in solid colors, and
displaying the train in Parallel and Perspective views. The
interaction is done using various keyboard input keys and mouse
buttons. The train was rendered using shading algorithms. Lighting of
the model was implemented the Phong illumination, Gourard shading and
Ray tracing algorithms.
. Implemented Z-Buffer and BSP tree algorithms for the hidden surface
removal and collision detection of objects in the Model.
. Simulated a solar system scene using Ray Tracing algorithm and is
developed using Visual C++.
. Simulated Ocean waves using Bezier Surface Patches and Bezier Curves.
The implementation was done using Visual C++.
. Designed and developed a Maze Game which had armed doors and enchanted
rooms using C#.NET. In this project various design patterns are used
to design and develop the Maze Game in an efficient way.
. Designed and developed a fully integrated online system called
Hospital Management Database System. In this Doctors can get the
investigation reports and view their daily appointment schedules
online. It supports multi currency system which is converted to base
currency for accounting purposes. It provides daily cash collections,
patient turnover, billing and medical records, related reports etc.
The implementation was done using Java on Oracle Database.
. Developed an online web application enabling buyers to make purchases
online. The functionality included adding/removing items to the
shopping cart, credit card transactions, User input validation, etc.
The implementation was done using ASP.NET on a SQL server.
. Implemented various file system commands that are used in Unix
environment by using C.
. Designed and developed a Travel Planner Expert System. Also,
implemented a Rule-based system for simulating traffic at a 4-way road
interaction using CLIPS.
. Designed and developed an application to automate the Check-In and
Check-Out system for a Hotel. The GUI is developed using MFC and the
business logic is implemented using VC++ and C#.
. Developed a database system for a cricket tournament that was held in
different colleges across the state. It involved designing and
developing the model that keeps track of all the participants from
different colleges who participate in the event and also classifies
the players in different levels according to their individual
statistics. The implementation was done using Oracle, Java, HTML, and
Java Servlets.
. Designed and implemented various data structures in C++. The data
structures included Linked Lists, Queues, and Stacks. Also,
implemented various sorting and search algorithms.
. Designed and implemented a virtual memory system. The virtual memory
is implemented by means of a page table and TLB. The replacement
policies were implemented by means of different replacement algorithms
like LRU and FIFO. A simulation of the CPU scheduler was made to
compare the different scheduling algorithms with respect to different
parameters like CPU utilization, turn-around time, and waiting time.
The Virtual Memory mechanism is implemented using VC++.
