Efficiency and Waste Management
. It was my responsibility in the pressroom to reduce paper waste to
a minimum, improve efficiency through scheduling and stay within
the cost of every print job. Overseeing each job in progress and
evaluate every employee's performance in that job with supervision
and training has cut unnecessary man hours per job. With the
documentation on all printing jobs it has increased efficiency and
we were able to reduce paper waste 7%. The above led us to better
evaluate our expected deadlines and document practical time
allotment per job. Our overall efficiency was improved.

. We upgraded our press operation in l996. I located and recommended
to purchase a Harris 8 unit V-15D press which is still in
production today. This enabled us to increase our press speeds
which in turn allowed us add to our commercial workload.
. In 1990 recommended and purchased a 7 into 1 Kansa 480 inserter.
Moving additional equipment to our central plant in McAllen from
Brownsville allowed us to be more efficient and cut down on
expenses.
