[further amplification follows]
As a consulting industrial engineer, I personally designed new facilities
from the ground floor. While working with Rockwell and McDonnell-Douglas
on the B1-B and C-17 programs, I was involved in many projects that
involved facilities, equipment, manpower, cost reduction, operation
sequencing, cost control. My work with Cessna Aircraft involved facilities
and equipment, in addition to all the more typical industrial engineering
tasks.
As plant manager for a new facility in Tennessee for an electrical
equipment manufacturer, I was involved in site selection of an existing
structure into which the operation would be developed. I designed the
layout of the entire facility considering the equipment to be installed
therein. That included recommendations of modern equipment. I hired and
trained all personnel, which eventually became a two shift operation with a
total of 75 employees at the time of my departure. Modern material
handling, improved assembly techniques, safety training, quality policies,
and Underwriter Laboratories procedures were also my responsibilities.
My total career emphasis has centered on problem resolution to improve
operations and efficiencies in manufacturing ranging from automotive,
electrical transformers, aircraft propellers, airframe assembly, and water
heaters, just to name a few. I have always been involved with inter-
organizational and outside customer activities. Working independently to
resolve difficult technical issues is one of my greatest strengths.
My computer proficiencies include, but are not restricted to, all Microsoft
Office and Project applications, AutoCAD including 3D, as well as mainframe
computer systems.
I am a current mission qualified pilot with Ohio Wing Civil Air Patrol.
