Communications Officer/Reserve Deputy

Duties: Called upon to answer and dispatch calls,

over 200,000 annually, from citizens and from

Stark County E.M.A. Center. Acted as the lifeline

and safety of responding deputies and had direct radio contact with

county services, paramedics and hospitals.

Responsible for warning residents of

weather related as well as other area wide emergencies by

use of the cable TV system. Provided all of these services to

thirteen townships and other cities and

villages and to approximately 185,000 Stark

County citizens. Deputy duties include assisting and being

trained in First Aid, human relations, patrol techniques and

procedures, domestic violence, demented

persons, firearms, alcohol and drug abuse,

juvenile offenses, traffic control and accident investigation.

June 2002-June 2003 State of Ohio Juvenile Corrections

Officer

Duties: Responsible for the safety and security of

juvenile felony offenders sentenced

throughout the State of Ohio. Maintained and operated daily

schedule of inmates to and from court transportation.

Maintain the security of operations within

the facility for all inmate movements to

and from school, dietary, medical, recreation, religious and

visitations. Performed daily pat down and

strip searches of inmates. Inspected all

units and individual cell rooms. Required to respond and assist

staff with inmate fights, riots, suicide

attempts and medical emergencies and to document

all incidents through a written report.
