Jan. 2007- Present Measurement Consultant, Confidential Employer
Cold call and e-mail top level executives at the largest banks and retailers
in the United States to establish a working relationship with them and
ultimately sell them contracts for customer service and customer
satisfaction measurement programs. Programs run in the $50,000-
$2,000,000 per year range. Daily work includes working with CRM
software, heavy telephone and e-mail communication to both prospects
and existing clients, preparing pricing proposals, participating in
“webinars” with prospective clients, reviewing contracts, and interacting
with the executive level team at my company.
May 2005-Jan. 07 Telephone Sales Representative
Verizon Yellow Pages/ Idearc Media, San Antonio, TX
Worked closely with small business owners to sell new, and make
recommendations regarding existing, Verizon Yellow Pages advertising in
multiple telephone directories in South Texas. Was consistently a top
producer in both my telephone unit and the entire division. Was designated
by my two District Sales Managers to be “Acting DSM” while they were
out of the office, which entailed overseeing the 6-person telephone unit,
processing their daily paperwork, and reporting directly to the General
Sales Manager over our unit.
I was directly responsible for handling approximately $400,000 in annual
revenue to the company.
Jan. 2004-Feb. 05 Senior Recruiter
Bullock Personnel, San Antonio, TX
Developed (from scratch) local and statewide contingency fee permanent
placement business. Developed client and candidate base by cold calling
(by telephone) company hiring authorities and respective job candidates.
Accessed corporate websites to identify executives to contact. Interacted
daily with corporate Presidents, CEO’s, Directors of Human Resources,
etc., and with candidates who were seeking permanent career positions.
May 2002- Dec.03 Placement Director/ Senior Recruiter
Medrec, Inc., San Antonio, TX-- Medical Staffing/ Placement Firm
Recruiter and “Hands On” Manager-- I hired and directly supervised two
recruiters.
Was specifically hired to develop (from scratch) clients and candidates
throughout the state of California, a brand new territory for Medrec. For
the first 16 months I worked alone, developing business relationships over
the telephone with new clients. Negotiated all fee agreements for both
contract staffing and permanent placement. Continually recruited clients
and candidates through heavy telephone cold calling.
Other responsibilities and results achieved while at Medrec:
Worked closely with the company Vice President to develop forms,
policies and procedures for a brand new Permanent Placement Division,
which I was in charge of.
Was personally responsible for territory advertising, answering all
inquiries regarding business in California, and conducting trade shows in
California..
Was individually responsible for generating revenue to the company of
approximately $120,000 in less than one year in the new Permanent
Placement Division, with no loss in revenue due to “fall off” business.
