1986 1990 – New SiO2 manufacturing process using nano particle surface modification in
ion exchange solvent extraction reaction to produce a very high surface
area products of SiO2. This resulted in products with exceptional
properties. This helped company to bring out new chemical products
in the market.
1991 2000 – New processes to extract metal values of ultra high purity from various
spent sources using ion exchange solvent extraction and
electrochemical winning process. This resulted in several new
processes for production of high purity Zn, Cr, Ni, Fe products.
New bearing steel processes and products.
2001 2008 – New steel products for cold heading, suspension spring, bearing
Industry.
New processes to improve product quality with shorter cycle time. This resulted in several
patents.
Project Management Experience
1986 – 2009 – Managed below mentioned projects successfully. All these projects
were started as R&D projects on the lab scale and finally resulted in
commercial production.
1. High purity, ultra high surface area SiO2 products.
2. High purity ZnO from galvanizing spent using multi stage ion exchange extraction.
3. High purity CrSO4 and NiSO4 from electroplating spent using multistage ion exchange
extraction.
4. Development of new bearing steel with high tensile and soft core.
5. High tensile, high ductility steel for spring steel.
5. Boron grade steel for suspension spring application.
6. New steel annealing processes for 52 different grades. This saved
up to 50% cycle time and improved quality.
7. New ground breaking annealing process where the cycle time is
reduced by 95%.
