Construction, in addition to a working knowledge of Estimation by

Maxwell Systems and Quickpen estimating software, AutoCAD and

GENERAL:

. Had complete responsibility for all HVAC & Plumbing estimates

and the CADD department. This including (2) estimators/CADD

operators, (2) estimators and (1) administrative assistant

ESTIMATING MANAGER'S RESPONSIBILITIES:

. Evaluated all bid requests from developers, general

contractors and owners to determine which projects to bid.

. Pursued plan/spec, Design-Build and Value Engineering

projects.

. Located, interviewed, hired, trained and terminated employees

. Generated the complete HVAC & Plumbing bid package including

solicited vendor and subcontractor bids.

. Examined thoroughly all addendums, drawings, specifications

and informational letters of each project.

. Orchestrated the conversion from digitizer to full dual

PROJECT & REGIONAL DIVERSIFICATION:

. During the fourth quarter of 2009 more than 200 projects were

bid totaling over $30 million. Projects included colleges &

universities, government facilities, hospitals, hotels,

industrial projects and professional buildings in (7)

different counties in western Pennsylvania for more than 35

different general contractors, developers and owners.

GENERAL:

. Had the responsibility for Estimating, Project Management and

Purchasing of assigned projects including the evaluation for

over budget projects using value engineering and redesign

techniques.

ESTIMATING RESPONSIBILITIES:

. Prepared the complete bid package as directed by the Vice

President of estimating and sales

. Evaluated plan/spec, Design-Build and Value Engineering (VE)

projects, with an intense emphasis on VE.

. Supervised the thorough review of all addendums, drawings,

specifications and informational letters.

. Coordinated vendor and subcontractor bids from local and

regional suppliers.

. Reviewed each quote for accuracy and adjusted the bids

accordingly.

. Created estimate spreadsheets utilizing Quick-pen data

. Produced all HVAC budgets and was in charge of all HVAC Value

Engineering projects.

. Generated the design build estimate for the Hazelton, WV

Federal Prison with a value of over $18,000,000.00.

. Directed all phases of the HVAC projects assigned by the

president

. Participated in project turnover meetings with the estimator,

field superintendent and field Forman.

. Completed the AIA billing forms and performed monthly

requisitions.

. Purchased rough materials and prepared complete submittals

for all equipment and subs

. Coordinated the work of vendors and subs including

scheduling.

. Attended job meetings to coordinate the work of our fitters,

vendors and subcontractors.

. Evaluated labor and total job cost reports weekly, monthly,

. Generated closeout documents including start-up reports,

balancing reports, O & M manuals and as-built drawings.

PURCHASING RESPONSIBILITIES:

. Purchased material, equipment and subcontractors for assigned

. Developed the PO draft to cover details to ensure a complete
