Operations Supervisor

Manage and execute business strategies determining product flow in and out

of the warehouse. Supervise, train and mentor staff of 65 operating a 1.7

million sq. ft. warehouse, dispatching up to 85 trailers daily.

. Expanded physical sorter capacity to process a maximum of 130,000 units

per shift in sorters.

Upgraded WMS, WCS, and Crisplant systems to accommodate enhanced

sorter capacity:

o A 5 - 11% shift in volume from manual pick to sorter yielded a

savings of $508,000.

o A higher pack factor in sorter than manual pick resulted in a

savings of over $6,000.

o Increased sorter capacity reaped a savings of more than $140,000.

o More sorter volume increased sorter replenishment CPDH, less travel

time in stocking, and saved $26,000.

. Increased stocking productivity performance producing a savings to budget

for 2009 and 2008 $587,000 and $147,000 and respectively:

o Built trust and relationships with and among associates to drive

growth and manage change. Promoted a culture of accountability to

drive productivity performance.

o Closely managed department budget to meet and/or exceed

expectations; developed short and long term cost cutting

strategies.

o Assisted in revising and simplifying the standard operating

procedures for each job function; facilitated training and

. Launched a forklift accountability program: Introduced an enhanced

reporting system for hazards and damages to PIV equipment. Created a

system to better track associate usage of forklifts.

. Led different processing departments, unit pick, sortation and the A-

. Mechanized DVD conveyor belts saving $90,000 annually: Formulated a plan

to bundle stacks of DVDs into sets of 24 to eliminate double handling by

associates as they consolidated DVDs into shipping containers.

. Installed motorized conveyor belts in shipping generating a savings of

$45,000: Devised a plan to mechanize the conveyor belts that introduced

totes to the DVD machines. Laid out a proposal to add mechanized,

conveyor belts feeding shipping cases to each trailer.
