Project Manager
Led feasibility study to assess the value of electronic laboratory notebooks
to replace paper notebooks across global technology organizations. Provided
project management leadership for novel lithium battery material focused on
emerging HEV/PHEV battery markets.
Successfully led $8 MM annual budget, lithium battery project to end of
prototype stage that could lead to a business opportunity as large as a
current major division of the company.
Identified productivity savings of at least 30 minutes/week and up to 10
hours/week for R&D technologists as business case for electronic laboratory
notebooks.
Presented results of pilot trial of electronic laboratory notebooks at
American Laboratory Managers Conference (ALMA) October 2008.
Provided financial models and templates to assess new business and
technology opportunities across all global technology and commercial
development organizations.
Knowledge Manager of Innovate College leadership team, a part of Air
Products University. Developed metrics system for Innovate College
curriculum that led to above industry benchmark performance results for

Asset and Process Technology Manager
As a dual R&D/Business manager, developed and led portfolio of global
development programs and projects for the Nonpressure portion of the Air
Products Polymers emulsions business. Scope included managing process
development group, new product development, process and quality improvement,
maximization of capacity and capital utilization programs for this 300 MM
lb/yr business.
Successfully deployed a "best in class" reactor technology system design in
both a California and a Mexican plant cutting cycle times by more than half
and doubling plant capacity saving $20 MM in capital expansion.
Managed process development group and pilot plant successfully expanding
pilot plant with $2 MM capital expansion to support "best in class"
development.
Manager Process Development
Managed process development group that included 24 engineers and
technicians, 2 pilot plants, and quality improvement programs in support of
the overall, 750 MM lb/yr emulsions business.
Developed Technology Platform Plan which served as the basis and key input
for developing the business strategy for this $300 MM/yr revenue business.
Led cross functional group that increased system-wide capacity 30% with no
cost/low cost capital options via debottlenecking from a sold out position
saving $10s of millions in capital.
Served on due diligence teams and provided technology support of domestic
and international acquisitions that explored a Brazil expansion and led to
expansion into Mexico and Korea.
Principal Process Engineer/Section Manager
Led numerous process/product scale up activities from lab to pilot to
manufacturing across all market areas of the Emulsions business. Actively
involved in due diligence and start up of two domestic acquisitions.

Process design for the central engineering group. Major projects included
doubling the capacity of a specialty manufacturing facility, debottlenecking
PVC fluid bed and rotary dryers, and an increase in polymer latex capacity
