Over thirty years experience in implementation of full development life
cycle Software and Hardware Quality Assurance and Configuration Management
requirements in accordance with Federal, Military, AS9100, CMM/CMMI and
best commercial practices for Mission Critical applications. I have
successfully participated and managed programs in Software/Hardware Quality
Engineering and Configuration Management and Release Management.
I am very process oriented, self-starting, and adept at generating
process/procedures and ensuring their compliance. I have participated in

integration. I have successfully completed self-development programs in

EDUCATION
Graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Southeast Missouri State
University, Cape Girardeau Missouri. Degree emphasis was in Computer
Science with a minor in Business Administration.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

A consultant with Dibon Inc. contracted to NEC working a CMMI Level 2/3
certification specializing in QA and CM process areas, defining process
areas, writing process and procedure documentation and conducting PPQA
audits.
Kidde Aerospace & Defense 2/06 - 4/09
Senior Software Quality Engineer, key responsibilities included
participation in design and test readiness reviews, review of test plans
with signature authority, participation in CCBs, test activities, metrics
collection, C++ code walk-through's, IPT's, SDLC, audit of processes, and
products of ongoing projects with the objective of verifying their
conformance to approved project plans, DO-178B, MIL-STDs including 973,
ANSI/EIA-649, and established company standards, policies and procedures.
Starteam and Synergy CM tools. I was a certified ODR by the FAA.
Scientific Research Corporation, 1/05 - 1/06
I was the Product Quality Assurance Manager for SRC's Charleston SPAWAR
programs. I was a key participant in the SPAWAR CMMI certification.
Responsibilities included participating in design and test readiness
reviews, Metrics collection and analysis, CRM, functional audits of the key
process areas, PPQA, M&A, REQM. reporting directly to the USSOCOM Program
Manager.
Gambro HealthCare, 5/04 - 1/05
I was the Configuration Manager for the Nashville TN office. My main
responsibility was driving the SCCS to StarTeam conversion. I coordinated
conversion of current version control SCCS and Visual Source Safe based,
build and migration processes to StarTeam based practices and procedures. I
was also responsible for builds and migration of developmental changes.
Computer Sciences Corp, 6/03 - 5/04
Configuration Manager to Crane Naval surface Warfare Center for the
Tactical Software Department. Responsibilities included CMM/SEI III/IV
accreditation for the department, Quarterly Quality Review Audits and CM
assistance on the Target Hand-off Subsystem of the Target Location,
Designation and System StarTeam version control tools.
VeriSign 11/2002 - 2/2003
Contractor for Tully Group. Define and generate documentation detailing the
Configuration Engineering version control process and procedures for
VeriSign, also a StarTeam Administrator, responsible administration and
installation of StarTeam, version control and the migration of production
packages to customer servers. Interface with VeriSign development teams and
Quality Assurance. Applications are written in Java, VisualAge, Perl and
placed in StarTeam for version control.
Ahold 5/01 - 3/02
Sr. Configuration Administrator. Configuration Manager for PVCS VM
performing daily administration functions, responding to Trouble Tickets
and Change Request hourly, and knowledge of in-house customers' needs and
behaviors. Participated in a conversion effort from VM to Dimensions,
lifecycle definitions design, creation of HTML forms, and migration from VM
to Dimensions.
ADECCO, Contract Consultant - Birmingham, AL 12/00 - 5/01
Contracted to Accenture as Configuration Manager for BellSouth project.
Upgrade of the BellSouth ticketing/trouble system. Generated CM process
documentation and procedures, CMP, CR, variances, deviations and wavers. I
also was a member of the Program Management Office, and was the KPA
champion for SQA, SCM, and peer reviews for a CMM Level III effort. I
completed level II and III assessments audits, provided Lunch-an-Learn
training sessions for users.
MDI, Contract Consultant Greenville, SC 5/2000 - 12/00
NewSouth Communications, as Configuration Manager. Tools utilized were WCVS
for version control and WREQ and Clarify for Request and Bug Tracking data.
NewSouth provided telephone, communications, and data systems. The software
used was all web based. Applications are written in Java, VisualAge, Perl,
and Forte. Operating systems are Unix, Linux. Duties include maintenance
and training of the CM process, assisting in conversion process for
companies absorbed by NewSouth.
MDI, Contract Consultant Greenville, SC 11/99 - 5/00
AIMCO, Apartment Investment and Management Company. Manager of the support
groups. This included Quality Assurance and Test, CRM, Configuration
Management, and the
Technical Publications groups for a PeopleSoft based application. I
supervised eight team members. Responsibilities were knowledge of
customers' needs and behaviors in order to develop stronger relationships,
the generation and definition of the policies and procedures for
Quality/Test and Configuration Management and publication to the Intranet.
Applications were PeopleSoft based, also the responsibility for cost
accounting, scheduling, education and training for the group members and
quarterly evaluations.
L-3 Communications St Petersburg, FL 11/98 - 11/99
Quality Engineer and Configuration Manager. The product was a 3D x-ray
explosive detection baggage scanner for the FAA. Responsibilities included
Quality Assurance, CRM, Configuration Management, Documentation Management,
and Radiation Control Officer. Development was in C++ on DEC Alpha
workstations linked to PCs By Exceed. CM tools used were RAZOR and Visual
Source Safe for version control. Supervised 1 Documentation Clerk and 1
Test person. Responsibilities included version control, generation of
documentation, Safety, and conformance to state requirements.
Butler Technology Solutions - Atlanta, GA 7/98 - 11/98
As a contractor, I was the PVCS/Configuration Manager for MCI WorldCom in
Atlanta. Responsibilities included restructuring PVCS, maintained 3
baselines, complete all promotions and builds, assist developers in use of
PVCS. I generated a CM plan and user manual for the PVCS configuration and
supervised the migration from a RCS system to PVCS. PVCS platform was UNIX,
on an AIX/RS-6000.
ALLTEL Information Systems, Atlanta, GA 5/98 - 7/98
Contractor/Supervisor for Release Control Group
Supervised 5 team members. Managed software via PVCS for real-time
applications support of GTE Wireless software. Managed release
coordination, builds for phased promotion levels and delivery to customer
for production applications.
Computer Sciences Corp, Nashville, TN 12/97 - 5/98
Quality Assurance Manager for CSC who had formed a partnership with CNA
Life and together purchased a French software house that has marketed a
software package for the European markets. The plan was to reuse and update
the application and produce a worldwide application. The application was
Oracle and PROLOG based, and we were using Mercury WinRunner for automated
testing. I was the Quality Engineer for the program.
Harris Information Systems Division - Melbourne, FL 11/86 - 12/97
Quality Engineer for Test Range programs.
I provided QE support for Decimomannu Air Combat Maneuvering
Instrumentation Upgrade (DACMI), Goldwater Range Measurement and Debriefing
System (GRMDS), and the Next
Generation Target Control System (NGTCS) Range Modernization programs. All
3 programs involve multi-service aircraft targeting operations. Performed
audits at vendors and subcontractors for contract and ISO/CMM compliance.
Supervised 1 Hardware Quality Engineer and 2 Quality Control Inspectors.
Member of the Quality Assurance team working the ROCC (Range Operations
Control System) program that was being developed at the Cape Canaveral Air
Force Station. During the development phase, I was responsible for 4 CSCIs
totaling over 350k lines of code. Assumed the position of Lead Software QE
responsible for the System Test phase of the ROCC programs (over 1.4
million lines of code and $450 million). As the program entered the
maintenance phase I became the Quality Assurance Manager. Leadership
responsibilities include functioning as QE Hardware and Software lead,
interfacing with Software Configuration Management, Test engineering, Air
Force Quality, and the on-site customer. By the end of the program, I added
the position of Hardware Configuration Manager to my duties. Responsible
for cost accounting, long term planning and schedule support, reporting
status and resolving potential problems, failure analysis and reporting
system, corrective action, and BOE generation for contract modifications.
As the Quality Manager, supervised 5 Quality Engineers and 4 Quality
Control Inspectors. Received two recognition awards while working on the
ROCC program for exceeding responsibilities.
Quality Engineer for a complex FEMA program. Conducted vendor surveys and
first article inspections, participated in design walkthroughs, CCBs, ERBs,
PCA/FCAs and site installations, corrective and failure reporting process.
Participated in the delivery of a communication system consisting of
multiple vehicles for each site. In my capacity as a Hardware QE, I served
as the MRB (Material Review Board) including the disposition of hardware
and receiving discrepancies, inspected equipment at the vendors (i.e.
trucks, and fully equipped shelters) including vendor PCAs prior to
shipment to Harris. Reviewed drawing changes, processed Hardware and
Software and work orders. Performed audits at vendors and subcontractors
for contract and ISO/CMM compliance. In addition to my hardware QE duties,
I was responsible for review of Software specifications, evaluating
preliminary coding design, review of code, review of test procedures,
design documents, and witnessing test.
