EXPERIENCE SUMMARY:
Dr. Bowen is the Lead Instructional Designer and Training Project Lead for
the General Dynamics Orlando office. She currently heads the team
producing training for the Land Warrior system. She was the instructional
expert for the Combat Operations Center training project. She previously
led the production of web based training for the Joint Force Support
Component Command and other JFCOM Joint Logistics customers. She is the

Previously, she was the technical expert for a team developing training
products for the Army's Aerial Common Sensor. She provided verification

Marine's Expeditionary Fighting Vehicle. She also headed training efforts
for the Air Force's Air Operations Center procurement and she was the
Program Manger for the Bureau of Land Management Training Programs
Requirements Analyses. She also headed the Air Force Civil Engineer
Support Agency's web training development team and helped define and
establish their knowledge management program. She developed web
applications for fuel filter inventorying and surveying maintenance
personnel. She also previously co-managed production of web based training
for the Defense Information School. She was a task leader for a Navy web-
training project using simulation to teach the Financial and Air Clearance
Transportation System (FACTS) application. She headed the team producing
theater battle management command and control elearning products for the
USAF Air Force Command and Control Warrior School. These products included
web and computer based training, multimedia presentations, and live
interactive lectures delivered via the Internet. She supervised and
coordinated efforts of personnel in three companies, including on and off
site employees. She was lead instructional designer for the Special
Operations Forces Aircrew Training System (SOF ATS).
She has 24 years of experience developing distributed learning products and
managing production teams and training projects. She is a skilled
programmer, human factors engineer, and facilitator as well. Her
dissertation focused on cognition and multimedia.
