Manage all Planning, Purchasing, Material Flow and Shipping for this $125M HVAC manufacturer
• Increased transaction integrity that lead to inventory accuracy of over 95%. This change helped
to avoid the inventory losses of over $300,000 from the prior year’s results that occurred before
my hire date.
• Improved inventory turns by 136% through better coordination of supplier schedules.
• Implemented Kanban triggers for both internal as well as external suppliers.
• Directed a team to set up a Finished Goods Warehouse and a Distribution process.
• Worked on a corporate team to define and implement Bar Code in receiving.
• Lead a team at the plant level to drive down damaged unit inventory and insure FIFO.

supplier of stamped and fabricated assemblies.
• Coordinated the production planning and set up of the Supply Chain for two sequential launches
of new customer products to the facility within 6 months of hire
• Set up a web based visual Kanban replenishment signaling process
• Discovered the version of ERP software in use was out dated and implemented an upgrade that
provided for a complete top to bottom review of policies and procedures for optimization of
performance
• Reduced WIP and Finished Goods by 50%

1998 – 2004 Oxford Automotive
Automotive Tier One Supplier Metal Stamping, Welding & Assembly
Materials Manager – 2003 to 2004 $360 MM in Sales Canton, Mississippi
Responsible for setting up a logistical supply chain to support Nissan’s new plant in Mississippi as well
as controlling sixteen suppliers in three countries. The supply chain plan was to bring in JIT
100% of all materials to support a two shift assemble to order manufacturing that delivered at
eight established times.
3 Changed the supplier scheduling process from eight suppliers within 300 miles to
sixteen in three countries as the corporations philosophies changed during
implementation.
4 Established a distribution warehouse and all logistical support functions due to
manufacturing facilities proved to be too small and overly congested.
Materials Manager – 1998 to 2003 $120 MM in Sales Masury, Ohio
Responsible for inventory control, plant purchasing (MRO), traffic, receiving and distribution. In 1998 took
over a stand alone small network server software package of Basic4 and learned the communications process
of the 830 Forecast, 862 Daily Release, 824 Advance Notice and 997 Confirmation Message. In November
1998 we started running a parallel Corporate AS400 Order Entry package specific to the Automotive Industry
Package named Future3 that was implemented ahead of schedule within 30 days. 2003 defined the steps
required to send Supplier 830 & 862 requirements and receive 824 & 997 with a web based software package
of Eclipz implemented in July 2003.
• Plant Project Manager to schedule the offload of eight parts from GM Lordstown and
maintain the production of 1,500 vehicles per day without interruption.
• Interim Plant Manager during six-month temp corporate problem solving project.
• Set up procedures to re-gain Q-1 approval from probation by Ford prior to hire date.
• Implemented new computer planning processing in three months to save a customer
service program.
• Set up a new parts storage system to maintain and control visually as well as system.
• Improved on time performance to 99% and increased reliability of shipment data.
• Implemented Automated Ordering of purchased Components for JIT scheduling.

Responsible for pump planning, scheduling and setting product lead times. Interface with customer inspectors
as well as maintain a high level of customer service.
1 Increased OTP from 50% to 85% while lowering some product lead times.

Director of Computer Integrated Manufacturing - 1990 to 1992
Responsible for selection and implementation of all automation software and hardware. Implemented an
improved MAPICS DB package in 1989 that had direct EDI import capability-allowing Berwick to decrease
order entry capacity by over 50% on both daily as well as seasonal sales. The change to the improved
Manufacturing Control System was based on my recommendation following the 1988 season. Berwick
was supported in the System Definition process by IBM and researched by an in-house cross functional team
that I was requested to lead.
1 Reduced inventories $4 MM with implementation.
3 Developed JIT, Kanban tool to reduce WIP inventories $75 K or 33%.
4 Initiated shop floor reporting with $80 K WIP elimination.
Director of Manufacturing - 1987 to 1990
Responsible for production plans / budgets on $120 MM Sales for three separate facilities. These facilities
supported two different Divisions in two separate states. This included 7 managers as direct reports for
Manufacturing, Purchasing, Production Control and Document Control.
1 Implemented a leveraged blanket purchase order system on film for cost avoidance of $800
K while starting up a new Sales Division that was located down in Baltimore MD.
2 Worked with Suppliers to develop and leverage that development into a competitive
strategy to compete for business on Quality, Delivery and Price on 100MM spend.
Production Control Manager - 1985 to 1987
Develop master schedules and production plans for Sales forecasts provided. Track sales to forecast and
adjust monthly.
1 Develop PC based BOM’s for order writing. 50% reduction in time saved $100,000.
