healthcare benefits management company that is focused on managing patients
with obstructive sleep apnea.
Led and/or assisted sales efforts with Aetna, Wellpoint and Fallon
Community Health Plan
Developed actuarial model to monetize savings from evidence based medical
criteria
Managed the Finance function for the company - develop policies and
procedures, manage accountants, insurance brokers and lawyers, prepare firm
for its first audit, put factoring agreement in place, manage leasing
arrangements, manage cash flow, manage Quickbooks accounting system,
develop monthly reporting process, monthly closing process, manage Revenue
Cycle/ remote billing office which handles all third party payments.
Achieved positive cash flow status and 400% revenue growth in two+ years
Vested Health, CEO and Founder 2001 to 2007
Achieved a 95%+ customer retention rate over six years from more than 300
enrolled employers and 25,000 members from small employers, publicly traded
companies, Fortune 500 companies and large government contractors and
agencies for a unique consumer driven health care product
Delivered results for our customers:
Employers- reduced their exposure to medical trend, most saw single digit
rate increases in a double digit environment
Consumers -averaged 60% fund rollover rate with 75% rolling over at least
75% of their money year over year. Health risk status became more apparent,
while we stratified consumers into specific cohorts for improved medical
outcomes
Broker/Agents/Consultants - once Vested Health was put in place, none of
these customers ever lost a case
Spearheaded the development of our internal IT processing system which had
to be developed from the ground up due to the uniqueness of the product and
a very limited budget
