Kapstone Paper Corporation, Roanoke Rapids, NC, where I am employed as a

Process Engineer in the Technical Services Group. My responsibilities have

included:

. Develop and implement safety training for the Paper Mill

. Provide technical support for #3,#4 Paper Machines

December 2008-February 2010

International Paper-Franklin Mill, Franklin, VA, employed as a Process

Manager for #1 Coated Board Paper Machine and Shift Maintenance. My

responsibilities include:

. Supervising a crew of 20 paper mill employees to produce quality

paper tonnage including the following departments:

o Chemical Additives for all machines

o Quality Testing for all machines

o Utility for the Paper Mill

. Ensuring development opportunities through semi-annual and annual

employee evaluations

. Supervising shift maintenance employees (4) throughout the mill- to

provide an efficient use of shift resources in various departments

. Supervising a paper machine crew during scheduled outages and other

downtime that requires a thorough knowledge of ZES and Lock, Tag, and

Try procedures

. Conducting monthly safety training as well as having a daily focus

on safety

. Conducting monthly Crew Led Improvement Plans for #1 Paper Machine

that are in effect to save $100,000 per shift and run more cost

effectively.

. Troubleshooting process related issues and dealing with them in a

timely and effective manner to minimize lost time and tonnage.

April 2006-December 2008

International Paper-Franklin Mill, Franklin, VA, employed as a Process

Engineer on Paper Machine #4. This machine produces bristols, specialty

and printing and communications papers (fine papers). The position

included:

. Providing daily technical support through daily troubleshooting of

equipment, reliability and process related issues

. Leading Kaizan Events to identify waste on the machine, and correct

for savings

. Participating in developing new paper grades for the machine

. Researching and maintaining capital projects with a focus on high ROI

. Training shift crews on new equipment/new grades, as well as daily

troubleshooting of equipment, reliability and process related issues.

June 2005-April 2006

International Paper-Cincinnati Technology Center, employed as a Process

Engineer. This position included traveling to paper mills across the

Southeastern United States and completing projects in the paper mill, pulp
