I have a variety of unit experience as wells as an extensive catering background in which I successfully negotiated and
executed catering events for several navy ships at the Norfolk Naval station for more than 1500 people at a time. I have
experience securing national retail brand contracts as well as goods and services. While employed as a GM and RDM I
was responsible for the reorganizing of units and have even done that as a GM for Sodexo. I am serve-safe certified, and
HACCP proficient. I have also successfully managed under a collective bargaining unit.
I have more than 10 years of P&L experience and have managed a staff of more than 75 at one time. I am experienced in
government contracts and purchasing procedures as wells as DARS and FARS and proficient in automated ordering
systems and inventory control.As a resident GM I successfully managed three seafood concessions in Deca
Commissaries. While in this position I was responsible for selecting and negotiating vendor contract for goods and
services as well as preparing and implementing marketing strategies. My recent accomplishments includes becoming a
certified trainer for Sodexo where we practiced “train the trainer” an idea that teaches managers and other unit personnel
to teach staff and set them up for success not failure. Although I am not licensed to operate a forklift I have experience
operating one and I am able to lift up to 60lbs. I also have experience in QA and am very familiar with OSHA standards
and safety.
