Summary

Objective
To combine what I have achieved in my project engineering career with
the knowledge gained through my continued education and apply it
towards my future. I will continue building quality construction
projects on time, under budget, and from an owner's perspective. I

(6/06-3/10) Graham Construction Company Des Moines, Iowa
Project Engineer and Safety Director. Efficiently managed the
completion of the $17 million Dowling Catholic High School Additions &
Remodel project with 4% savings to the owner in addition to $880,000
in changes. Supervised the delivery of the $19 million dollar Iowa
Methodist Medical Center Surgery Addition & Remodel which was
completed substantially under the owners budget. In addition, I
effectively estimated, procured, scheduled, and managed multiple
renovation projects throughout the occupied facilities at the same
time. As safety director I proactively managed the companies safety
program. I took charge of the injury and workers compensation
management, OSHA inspection management, drug test administration,
conduction of quarterly safety meetings, and jobsite safety audits.
Triumphantly completed over two years without an OSHA recordable
injury, restructured the company's safety program and guidelines, and
achieved recognition as a finalist for the Master Builders of
Iowa/Iowa OSHA Outstanding Safety Achievement Award.
(1/05-6/06) Western Summit Constructors, Inc. Denver, Colorado
Project Engineer for the $87 million Littleton/Englewood Waste Water
Treatment Plant. Diligently scheduled, performed quantity take-offs,
received quotes, purchased and procured equipment, reviewed and
submitted information to the engineer for approval, prepared change
orders and requests for information, maintained correspondences, and
worked with the field engineers, superintendents, and subcontractors
to build the project successfully.
(5/04-1/05) Dold Homes, Inc. Perrysburg, Ohio
1 Point man - Reported to the owner of the Dold Companies. Conducted the
first and final walk through with the homeowners, and then made all
repairs that had been developed into a punch list. Performed
warehouse management including ordering, preparing, and shipping
construction material packages out to the job sites for self-
performing trades, training other employees for warehouse positions,
estimating, HVAC involving the complete layout and installation,
finish trim carpentry, framing, and various service calls.
(5/03-8/03) Co-op, MetzCo. Permanent Walls, Inc. Sylvania, Ohio
Focused on the processes of residential concrete construction on the
foundation wall crew. Interacted with the owner, supervisor, and
foreman in order to complete our projects on schedule. Learned how to
take grade, layout and pour footers, set deep and short wall forms,
shoot in wall to grade, pour foundation walls, read blueprints for
necessary fills, and strip the wall. Responsible for the fill truck,
F-350 flatbed.
2 (5/02-8/02) Co-op, Dold Homes, Inc. Perrysburg, Ohio
3 Developed knowledge of residential construction. Reported to the
Director of Operations and Personnel. Full responsibility for the
servicing of all electric, water, and gas meters. Executed office
work, including take-offs, computer file updating, typing work orders,
inspections, and anything else needed in order to keep the company at
a positive production level. Other responsibilities included
warehouse management and general labor, including building roof
trusses, floor joists, and components, taking ticket orders, and
shipping out materials.
