Accomplishments
. As a Senior Purchasing Agent at Cooper Bussmann, I established an
extensive plant wide e-mail Kan Ban inventory control system. This
system significantly reduced purchased part inventory and improved
plant productivity. My previous Production and Warehouse supervision
experience greatly contributed to the over implementation of this Kan
Ban system. I met or exceeded my Purchase Price Variance goals in 14
of my 15 years in this position.

Upon promotion from my Senior Purchasing Agent position with Cooper Bussmann Inc. in
Black Mountain N.C., I assumed responsibility for establishing the position of North
American Commodities Manager with Cooper Wiring Devices, another division of Cooper
Industries. Assumed responsibility for supplier selection, negotiations, awarding and
managing of all commodity contracts other than plastics at Cooper Wiring Devices.
Responsibilities included the management of all Cooper Wiring Devices Commodities
Projects through the Cooper Industries Strategic Sourcing Department at corporate
headquarters in Houston, Texas. I achieved bottom line savings of over $1,000,000 in my
first year in this position.

My very successful career at Cooper Bussmann began as a Production Supervisor in 1981.
After promotion to the Warehouse/Shipping & Receiving Supervisor in 1985, I was
promoted to the Plant Purchasing Agent position in 1989. The position of Senior
Purchasing Agent was accomplished in 2000.
During my 23 plus years at Cooper Bussmann, I have received extensive training and
experience in the areas of supervision, team building, ISO 9000
implementation/auditing, Kan Ban Procurement/Inventory Control systems and Lean
Manufacturing. Annual goals were achieved during this time. I reduced the supplier base
and established long term supplier relationships that brought significant bottom line
cost savings to the company year after year.
