Took over a facility with many issues: employee theft, customer theft,
abandoned vehicles, broken equipment and massive miss-management for years.
Released 6 employees in 1st month with 3 being prosecuted, had the bulk of
the vehicle owners contacted and negotiated pricing to have vehicles
removed, processed paperwork to remove the rest. Repaired equipment,
reorganized inventory and shop. Recruited and hired new sales and service
staffing. Brought sales as high as 250k per month with a ranking monthly of
1 or 2 in the Chicago north district. Left the company to take a new store
with company being run by former coworkers (Ceo, Vp, Regional Mgr and
District Mgr) with the promise of better pay, benefits and chance to be
more of a manager and less of a salesperson in a better neighborhood.

Started with dealership in a very old and small facility as service
manager.
Duties included crash estimating, maintenance scheduling and service sales,
developing hi-performance engine modification packages to be performed by
our in house machine shop, custom chrome packages for new bikes.
Coordination of warranties for new motorcycles, forklift unloading of new
motorcycles. I developed shop layout and equipment list for new facility
installed new equipment, ran forklift and supervised moving of (Entire)
dealership to new facility, procured and installed new equipment, hired
additional service staff. Hired janitorial maintenance staff, helped design
custom vehicle for pick-up of motorcycles, picked up and delivered
motorcycles personally. Took service sales from 800k 1st year, which was a
20% increase to 3 million. Before leaving dealership. Ownership decided on
cutbacks after 100 anniversary and large drop in sales volume, myself and
sales manager of 20 yrs were let go with severance to cut payroll and
replaced at much lower pay scale, machine shop closed and service dept cut
to skeleton crew.

into the top 10 out of 77 stores in the mid-west region where we stayed
until my leaving due to 2yr pay freeze while company stocks plummeted.
Store maintained a double-digit increase for 3 years and upon my exit 2
managers were hired to replace me.

service challenges including many sports and TV celebrities, as well as
well known Chicago business families, also 2 blocks from Cabrine Green
which came with it's own challenges. Location produced awards for top
profit, profit improvement, and sales in the #1 district in the company. I
was recognized for three years running in the elite managers club top 10%
out of 1200 locations in the company a monthly listing based on sales, tire
units and profits. Left company to get closer to home as I was working 12
hrs days and driving another 3 and a half. Unfortunately there were no
company stores near my home.
