RE: Inbound Logistics Manager
Dear Hiring manager
I am submitting my resume in reference to the Inbound Logistics
Manager position listed on your web site. I'd bring a proven track record
of diverse International and domestic transportation, logistics, and
distribution to the position. I am passionate about logistics and
transportation and this can be seen in how I approach my work. I have been
successful throughout my career due in part to the value I place on
collaboration. I work well cross functionally and am known as a team
player. In addition I pride myself on developing mutually beneficial long
term relationships.
My previous responsibilities have included: Sales, Operations and
General management positions to the Director level at APL, an international
ocean transportation company and Senior Logistics/Operations positions at
Target. In addition I have owned and operated a retail store. As the
Director of Operations-Southern Region/Latin America my responsibilities'
included: port, rail and inland terminal operations, trucking, maintenance,
3rd party stevedoring, contract and vendor management. I have extensive
experience in service and contract negotiations and have been successful in
reducing costs while driving service and process improvement. While at
Target I was a member of the senior management teams at two Target
distribution centers. These distribution centers handled 30 million cartons
annually and serviced 70 target stores each.
I approached my responsibilities a sense of urgency. I focus on
meeting my commitments and developing trust with my internal and external
customers. I've been recognized for demonstrating excellent communication
and relationship skills and I bring a success attitude to work each day.
I left Target in December in order to sell my business in Joplin, MO. I
completed that work recently and am now looking for an opportunity in the
Charlotte area.
I would like to discuss in more detail your current needs and more
extensively the contribution I could make to your team.
Thank you for your consideration
Steve Conner
