Harvard University deals with the MIDAS application called MANAGEMENT

IDENTITY DATABASE ADMINISTRATION SYSTEM for all its employees, students at

all levels and its affiliated institutions. The application deals with the

data from different sources and different users at various managerial

levels which have rights to access the application according to their

authentication. MIDAS deals with the creation of students and Person of

Interest Roles (Contract, Consultant etc) only, but the employee records of

all of its institutions and other source records are visible here and can

be altered but can't be created. PRIVACY is functionality in MIDAS which

deals with the FERPA Act of U.S. and the visibility of a record of a person

and the interior details are based upon the same. Moreover the PRIVACY

functionality has been enabled with certain values for all different levels

of the employees, POI and students.
