Executive Director, Corporate Creative Strategies 2006 - Present
Initiated to a newly created position to focus on managing marketing, creative design
and branding strategies for 29 brands within the Estee Lauder portfolio.
Built and supervise a team and draw on additional corporate resources to drive
creative and marketing processes throughout the organization and across all
product lines.
Monitor the work of all departments and ensure the sharing of best practices; work
with centralized procurement to leverage the size of the company on such
initiatives as market research, printing, production companies and hospitality
hosts.
Assemble special task forces as needed for such projects as the selection of project-
management tools.
Own corporate creative processes and drive new end-to-end creative development
methodologies.
Serve as subject matter expert (SME) on creative issues for the Corporate Strategic
Modernization Initiative, which has included an implementation of SAP and
associated changes to management.
Build change-management programs to enable 29 brands to focus on creative
innovation and growth opportunities to increasing brand awareness and drive
profits.
Initiated consolidations for such expenses as photographers, models and media
across brands that will result in reducing staff by approximately 2,000 and
savings by 2013 of more than $74 million, approximately one-third of which
have already been realized.
Created and delivered educational presentations on strategic initiatives.
Executive Director, Visual Merchandising, The Americas, Estee Lauder Brand 2002 - 2006
Assembled and led a staff responsible for all point-of-sale merchandising design and
visuals for the brand for locations throughout North America.
Defined visual environments for meetings, conferences and corporate spaces.
Built and managed regional Americas Merchandising teams; and worked closely with
retail partners to create consistent communication vehicles.
Directly managed a $12M budget that included program and capital expenses and
drove brand-renewal efforts such as Tom Ford for Estee Lauder and the
capitalization of the celebrity model roster.
Built relationships and repaired damaged bridges with such major customers as
Federated.
Reduced a $2M print budget by 60% by leading multi-brand procurement approach.
Global Design Director, Estee Lauder Brand 2001 - 2002
Led a design team in the global restructuring of the brand, driving initiatives in
cooperation with regional teams in Europe, Asia and North America to enable the
greatest global buy-in of company history.
Created the brand’s first globally aligned creative programs that focused on the
needs of each region and elevated the brand’s image through innovative
materials and individual approaches to each project.
Managed the merger of the domestic and international merchandising divisions.

Directed design and communication vehicles for international merchandising
programs at the point-of-sale, as well as coordinated the work of the design staff
and the regional design managers.
Created the brand’s first electronic artwork assets-management program, converting
printed guidelines and artwork assets to digital formats and enabling timely
access to each month’s information for such events as product launches and
special promotions.
