Director - Research and Development: Cardiac Device Telematics
Directed development of a remote management device and website with
international team of 125 engineers, architects, and verification and
validation engineers located in USA, China and India. Managed operating
budget of $24 Million, and influenced decisions for $85 Million in annual
spend.
Led the successful launch of multiple Class III Medical Device products
including an array of global regulatory and customer requirements
(supporting sales in USA, Europe, Australia, Canada and Japan).
Led team to exceed corporate objective and sustain product scalability as
it exceeded sales targets by >1800%, successfully supporting tens of
thousands of international physician customers and hundreds of thousands of
patients who have installed the home monitoring instrument in their homes.
Defined and managed platform improvement project that reduced product

Key contributor to the selection and due diligence process which led to a

Built engineering team, and led the team to design, develop and release
three separate web products as an early employee/manager at a market
research start-up. Team created patented algorithms to enable rapid
qualitative market research over the internet. Note: Informative acquired
Recipio in 2001.
Reduced the total cost of ownership for the Informative suite of products
by evaluating emerging technologies and software development tools which
resulted in improved innovation.
Set strategic direction of software development processes and responsible
for complete software development life cycle, including the use of CMMI and
Agile methods. Delivered on-time, on-budget releases, including three new
products and numerous major and point releases.
Managed Natural Language Processing (NLP) team that developed algorithms

to enable the business to convert from a consulting organization into a

professionals across WI, IL and HI. Successfully led to the acquisition of
the business (XLink) by KPMG because of superior product definition and
opportunity. Developed internet based document management/internet
delivery system for the Hawaii, Maine and California state legislatures for
full life cycle of drafting through finalizing of the bills and
codification into law. Note: KMPG acquired XLink in 1999.

Started the business while a freshman in college. Developed reputation as
national expert on Java and Object Oriented Programming through teaching,
writing, speaking and evangelizing about Java technology and its role in
