. Developed strategic sourcing process including tactical support in the

areas of supplier audits, financial analysis, cost modeling, and

supplier agreements for a new solar energy start-up company.

. Provided cross functional team leadership in all aspects of supply

chain management assuring adherence to stakeholder requirements.

. Negotiated and implemented $1.5 billion in supplier agreements with a

documented 50% cost reduction vendor commitment over 5 years.

. Managed the annual materials spend budget of a public electric utility

in excess of $50 million dollars and capital construction projects of

over $400 million dollars. Negotiated a $15 million dollar settlement

of disputed change orders against plant construction project, avoiding

costly litigation.

. Implemented an ERP/MRP system to rapidly drive efficiencies in

production planning and procurement. Reduced transactional purchasing

by 25%.

. Evaluated, negotiated and implemented numerous domestic and

international sourcing decisions. Results included a $450,000 savings

on a $2.5 million dollar account and a $400,000 saving on a $2 million

dollar account.

. Drove a demand-driven replenishment methodology in a manufacturing

environment and transitioned 65% of all parts to a "Pull" ordering

system; Kanban, Sequence-delivery.

. Reduced inventory by over $4 million dollars by conducting "ABC"

analysis of parts, pricing and delivery and negotiating consignments

of inventory with offshore suppliers.

machining department including negotiation with UAW in the

As part of the start-up management team, responsible for the initial

development of the strategic sourcing process and the tactical

implementation of all procurement procedures and tools for this solar

energy company start-up. Provided leadership to cross functional teams

through the sourcing process by defining business needs, setting long term

business goals, and development of the sourcing strategy that fulfilled all

stakeholder requirements.

Public Services Company of New Mexico, Albuquerque, NM December

2005 - July 2008

Sourcing Manager

Responsible for all sourcing and contracting activity for the power

generation division of this public utility. Annual material and contracted

service spend in excess of $50M. Capital construction projects budgeted at

over $400M. Key contributions include; successful construction of a new

power plant and major environmental upgrade projects ($138M and $310M

respectively), and implementation of Strategic Sourcing process.

As part of this Crane owned company I provided oversight on all aspects of

strategic sourcing, procurement and logistics in a contract manufacturing

environment. Direct reports included: master scheduling, production

control, project estimation and quoting, strategic sourcing, production

procurement, MRO procurement, shipping, receiving, and warehouse. Key

accomplishment was the implementation of an ERP/MRP system. Utilized e-

commerce tools to effectively drive strategic sourcing of 30% of the

commodity base realizing an immediate 10% in cost reduction.

Resources Administrator for the Supply Management Division. I developed

Managed the planning, layout, and development of a new CNC machining

department. This included the installation of all machines (including a

new $3.1M G&L machining center), negotiating necessary changes to work

classifications with the UAW, and developing relationships with local trade

schools.
