priced on a previous system, using MG-ALFA. Built Life Projection models
in MG-ALFA to run monthly reports for financial reporting purposes.
Responsibilities included keeping Life Projection models updated with
current company inforce and ad-hoc reporting to support company's product
filings. Addition focuses included performing Actuarial research to
calculate incidents rates and claim costs to aid in pricing insurance
products and building pricing models in MG-ALFA. Learned the pricing
insurance products process from collecting statistics to using actuarial
software to test assumptions and compare expected return on equity
calculations while managing several on going projects.

section of the Actuarial Department. Worked with Excel and Access to
present data to senior members of the Actuarial Department. Built Access
databases using data from an AS400 system. Databases were used to segment
and summarize data for both routine and ad-hoc reporting. Segmented data
was put into Excel spreadsheets to complete calculations and summarize
data for Actuarial management. Responsibilities included reserve
calculations, trend analysis, performing research to investigate abnormal
findings, and collecting data for year-end state filings. Learned the
importance of being efficient while handling many responsibilities, be
detail oriented, work independently, and use Access and Excel to create
useful reports.
