Currently, I perform a dual role, primarily as Senior Cad Designer and as
Cad Design Supervisor. On a day to day basis I engaged with the design,
manufacturing, programming and quality control departments to identify and
resolve issues affecting production and new model launch. I have acquired
extensive experience in research and development, sheet metal fabrication,
automotive component design, structural design, packaging & assembly and
surface creation. I have been particularly effective in implementing
industry standards & policies thereby increasing productivity and reducing
cost. Under my charge the cad department has shown marked improvement in
implementing engineering changes, utilizing ANSI Y14.5 drafting standards
and incorporating GD&T principles. I also possess strong knowledge of
advanced quality management concepts, including Six Sigma, Design for
Manufacturing, FMEAs, DVP&R and quality planning procedures. Also, another
personal strength is my ability to mentor junior designers and cad
technicians in drafting standards, design techniques and basic engineering
principles. I am Catia V5 trained by Rand Worldwide Inc. and a
participating member of C.O.E. (Catia Operators Exchange).
