As an accomplished Sales Manager in the Hardware and Lighting field, I have
developed a comprehensive national sales network of local and national
companies as well as independent sales agencies. I am looking to join an
established organization that can utilize my 10 years of National Selling
experience and relationships to expand and grow their business.
Professional Experience:
December 2002-Present The Designers Edge Inc. National Sales Manager for
an industrial and commercial lighting manufacturer. Responsible for all
retail sales accounts in the Western and Southern United States, managing
over $8 million in retail sales. Managed the entire Electrical Distributor
network in the United States, with over $2 million in annual sales. Hired
and managed 22 independent sales agencies across the United States.
Increased territory and account base every year for the past 5 years, while
maintaining and continually growing existing business. Increased sales in
both domestic and direct import business by 17% for 2009.
In 2006, organized, set-up, and implemented a national program to sell to
Electrical Distributors. This involved the hiring of independent sales
agencies and making initial sales calls on major distributors to gain
information needed for this new branch of our business. This segment,
which was a completely new endeavor for The Designers Edge, was worth
upwards of $2 million dollars in 2009.
September 2000-September 2002 World Lighting and Design. Store sales
manager for start-up upper-end lighting store with a reputation of
outstanding customer service and selection. Managed a total of 20 in store
sales people as well as 3 additional outside contractor sales positions.
Completed the ALA Certification course, became certified to sell to
lighting designers and contractors.
February 1997-May 2000 Jeske Inc. Inventory control manager/operations
manager for the five stores under Jeske Inc., including Domus, an upper end
gift and furniture store, and Greetings, a smaller gift and furniture
store. Managed inventory functions including re-orders, vendor returns, and
annual inventory. Managed new store opening at Westlake Center in Seattle.
