Modeling and testing of Shunt Connected DC Motors, Series Connected DC
motors, Permanent Magnet DC machines, Brushless DC motors and Induction
motors
The different motors were designed using MATLAB/Simulink and modeled all
the needed simulations to see their start-up performance and steady state
characteristics. The steady state characteristics of the brushless DC
motors and the induction motor were analyzed under various loads and
various input sources.
Design, Modeling and hardware implementation of Buck Converter and Boost
Converter
Modeled the buck and boost converters using PSpice, implemented the buck
and boost converters in hardware and made a study of the comparison between
the analytical and simulated results.
Control strategy of a supply side Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) converter in
a variable speed AC- drive
A vector control strategy was designed and modeled in MATLAB/Simulink for
the supply side PWM converter and its performance was verified.
Design of Plug-in Hybrid vehicles
Designed and studied methods to convert hybrid vehicles to plug-in hybrid
vehicles using different battery technologies and different configuration
topologies.
