Director of Parts and Accessories - Responsible for all aspects of the parts and accessories business for MarineMax

including sales, inventory management, strategic planning, supply chain, merchandising, e-business, and team

development. Managed a staff of 5 direct reports and 65 indirect reports at 80 retail locations. Conducted store visits to

insure standards of the company were met and negotiated contracts with suppliers. Developed and implemented

operational best practices that enhanced sales, reduced costs, reduced inventory or increased efficiencies.

• Played a key role in increasing parts and accessories sales from $26 million to $54 million in a 4-year

timeframe through acquisitions, sales and management strategies, and effective marketing.

Previously the southeast’s leading specialty retailer of automotive replacement parts, maintenance items, and accessories

for the do-it-yourself customer. They expanded to nearly 700 stores with 2 distribution centers before being acquired by

Advance Auto Parts.

Director of Supply Chain (May 2000 to February 2002) - Responsible for optimizing the supply chain and inventory

management processes while directing the replenishment staff of 5, the SKU maintenance department of 4, and 2 supply

chain analysts. Worked cross functionally with purchasing, marketing, information systems, distribution, and operations

departments to ensure efficient, timely, and cost effective product flow.

• Oversaw annual replenishment purchases of over $400 million from over 200 vendors.

• Responsible for over $240 million in inventory at 670 retail locations and 2 distribution centers.

• Created and implemented strategies for controlling discontinued, defective, and overstock inventory that

reduced inventory levels over 10%.

• Implemented new forecasting and replenishment system that increased store fill rates to 96%.

• Gained experience with leading edge supply chain practices by functioning as a project leader with a Cap

Gemini Ernst & Young supply chain review of product sourcing, inventory stocking strategies, transportation,

and warehouse management systems.

• Created vendor performance measurements and reporting that increased fill rates and standardized lead

Merchandise Controller (October 1997 to May 2000) - Responsible for managing the inventory control and accounts

payable departments with 15 total employees. Inventory department was responsible for over $240 million in store and

distribution center inventory and the monthly booking of cost of sales, shrink, markdowns, and vendor receivables and

incentive programs. Accounts payable department processed over $400 million a year in payables.

• Created monthly category budget and performance reports for sales, inventory levels, and gross profit.

• Responsible for accurately maintaining the perpetual inventory systems for 700 retail stores and 2 distribution

centers.
