. Senior Warranty Return Engineer

July 2006 to October 2008

o Analyzed warranty returns to establish failure mechanisms and the

probable source of these failures. Communicated data and trends

using appropriate reporting formats with customers, suppliers and

within Delphi.

o Directed changes in documentation such as the Bill of Process (BOP),

Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA), Application Guidelines,

product drawings and material specifications internally and with

suppliers. Communicated changes to the customer.

o Escalated warranty trends and information to allow prompt

remediation and minimized financial and customer dissatisfaction

risks. Monitored the effectiveness of implemented corrective

actions.

. Senior Fuel Module Product/Project Engineer

October 1995 to June 2006

o Developed /released the 2004 Chrysler Pacifica fuel modules with

innovative dual module design and installation features for a

program with a volume of 100K resulting in annual revenues of $5.2M.

o Managed the flawless launch of various high profile customer fuel

module applications using APQP with special emphasis on customer

requirements, DFMEAs, PFMEAs, validation testing (ADVP&R). The

largest of these programs had volumes of 1.2M and annual revenues of

$66M+.

o Coordinated activities between suppliers, Delphi and the customer

involving technical and program reviews, the joint evaluation of

products at various release levels at the component and vehicle

level resulting in on time program release at specified cost.

o Verified and documented product performance and reliability growth

through all phases of product development in compliance with QS9001

/ TS16949

Fuel Module Quality Engineer

o Managed and directed Statistical Process Control for all Fuel Module

fabrication and assembly areas resulting in Fabrication Annual FTQ

improvements of 10% resulting in $150K annual savings.

o Delivered continuous improvement in the divisional manufacturing

performance by utilizing design of experiments (DOE), Shainin Red X,

as well as other problem solving techniques to identify and resolve

manufacturing problems in quality achieving $50K in annual scrap

reduction..

o Identified and resolved inaccurate Fuel Gage issue that represented

a hardy perennial for Service Fuel Senders. Identified non-

conforming braze on brass floats & worked with Product Engineering

to implement design change to polyurethane float with redesigned

high speed manufacturing capable float arm resulting in cost savings

of $ 35K annually.

. Manufacturing Supervisor

o Supervised 42 non-exempt employees on a Fuel Module assembly line.

Administered the Delphi / UAW contract to maintain efficient

manufacturing process.

o Implemented lean manufacturing principles by combining three

assembly lines into one assembly cell resulting in an annual

efficiency increase of 15% with annual cost improvements of $400K.

o Coordinated with Engineering and skilled trades to perform

preventive maintenance / repair of equipment resulting in equipment

up-time of 95%.

. Product Designer

o Responsible for design, modeling, and development of production

drawings utilizing CAD.
