Designed, development, testing and implementation of products, worked

as an integral part of a new product development R&D group from concept

development to implementation.

Redesigned adjustable compression latch in order to incorporate

standard screw and eliminate custom shaft while maintain company

standards using Uni-Graphics and DFMA concept. Annual Saving $ 90,000

Identified root cause failure and improved product design to sustain

extensive load for use in military application.

Redesigned vice action compression latch key in order to reduce cost by

eliminating welding and secondary slotting using Uni-Graphics. I was

involved with machine tooling and production tooling designing. Annual

Saving $ 150,000.

Experienced with Prototype development and conduct necessary test for

Design validation.

Improved retractable door hinge design by eliminated custom parts and

replace them with standard parts using Uni-Graphics. Standardized the

components for entire retractable door hinge family to reduce cost and

lead time by two weeks.

Reduce cost and lead time of T-handle and ball handle latches.

Designed a laboratory test fixture using Uni-Graphics, for cycle

testing. Utilized Sensor, load cells and Motor in conjunction with data

collection electronics. Responsible for procurement of the parts,

assembling the fixture, calibration of the load cells, and the use of

the fixture.

Used DOE techniques to find optimize value of parameter to get the best

and consistent result.

Utilizes DVP&R's for product validation and test planning and Gantt

chart for project planning.

Analyzed hardware Database using Excel Macro and Charts to find

opportunity for cost saving. Cost Saving $ 110,000.

WORKED ON NEW MEDICAL EQUIPMENT RESEARCH PROGRAM. DEALT WITH ARTIFICIAL

HEART PUMP (LVAD), GD&T, TOLERANCE ANALYSIS OF ASSEMBLIES.

Recommended and Designed different configuration of artificial heart

pump to reduce overall length from 85mm to 45mm.

Modeled and assembled various mechanical parts and configuration of

Heart Pump. Also created detail drawings of the various mechanical and

electromechanical parts such as impeller, diffuser, brackets, Housing

etc. using Solid Works software. Used GD&T dimensioning standard.

Designed fixture for vibration testing of artificial heart pump which

utilized sensor and heart pump assembly using Solid Works.

Assembled Prototype for conducting test and then evaluated the test

results.

Designed fixture for coil winding, which was 0 .50in x 0.50 in. in size

using Solid Works.

Created animation of Heart pump to explain how it works for exhibition

at RIT using solid works.

Designed fixture for clamping metal strips on TIG welding machine to

improve process and weld quality using Solid Works.

Designed and Developed extruders die cart with axial movement and axial

rotation using Solid Works to improve safety of handling heavy dies and

reduce change over time.

Designed and implemented fixture for off-centric deburr tool that

improved product quality and Improved ergonomics.

Designed and implemented trimmer for heavy rubber seal that improved

product quality and reduced cycle time from 5min to 2min.

Replaced traditional card system by creating 'Mold Database' using

Microsoft Access for better inventory control and expedite the process.

Trained and motivated operators and supervisors to use Mold Database.

Involve in Kaizen event for quality improvement and reduce production

time.

Analyzed collected data and Standardized tooling concept to reduce the

response time.

Designed new compression molds and created details drawings and BOM

using Solid works.

Designed a fixture for rubber seal to remove unnecessary flash.

Documented all the details and assembly drawing of molds for

Designed and implemented numerous storage systems that improved space
