Community College
Job Recovery Program Coordinator. Responsible for creating 175
jobs for Lauderdale County residents through the American
Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funding. Manage a $3.7
million grant to reduce the unemployment rate and level of
participants receiving TANEF benefits per Governor Phil
Bredesen.
. Successfully created 165 jobs in the county during a four month
period, reducing the unemployment rate from 18.8% to 17.2%
(change of 1.6%) according to March 2010 state figures.
. Recruited over 20 local businesses as active companies in the
program and coordinated three job fair events to create
opportunities for identified candidates.
. Instrumental in the building the infrastructure of two
municipalities to include such positions as City Manager,
Recreation Facility Coordinator, Data Entry Clerk, etc.
1998 to 2009 Randstad US
Sr. Branch Manager/Market Manager. Responsible for the daily
operation and management of a sales and service force ranging
from 2 to 10 people. Focused on the operational excellence of
the team to continuously grow market share and profitability of
a multi-million dollar business. Manages payroll processing,
safety compliance, recruiting, worker's compensation, and other
functions of the Human Resource role.
. Successfully managed small to mid-sized branches in Dyersburg
and Jackson, TN and St. Louis, MO to seven consecutive years of
multi-million dollar annual sales.

leading the branch in exceeding sales budget, gross margin and

Market Recruiting/Learning Manager. Responsible for internal
and external candidate recruiting for three branch (Market)
locations. Managed assessments, employee development programs
and internal staff training.

sources for the market through local chambers, colleges and

Developed a GED incentive program, forklift certification and
welding program to improve the skills of our branch applicants. The
welding program was developed as a job specific program for a local
business and has evolved into a successful partnership leading to more jobs
in other production areas of the company.
1996 to 1998 Honeywell Consumer Products
Molding Supervisor. Responsible for planning, training, and
management of injection and blow molding machine operations.
Key areas included production monitoring/reporting, quality
control, scrap reduction, personnel counseling/training,
assembly operations and meeting the ISO 9000 standards.
Direct supervisor of 20 full-time employees with a shift uptime
efficiency average of 109%, a true efficiency average of 103% and a scrap
percentage average of 1.23%.
Initiated action to establish a certified training program for all
molding operators, setup personnel, and molding toolroom personnel through
the use of interactive CD program.
Developed a cross training plan to improve understanding of processes
and overall success of the company between the molding department and the
assembly department personnel. Focused on part and product quality.
Successfully trained 25 individuals on 2nd and 3rd shift as the
forklift trainer for the company certification program.
1986 to 1995 United States Army, Honorable Discharge, Major
Resource Manager. Managed the logistics requirements, hiring,
and structure of personnel and equipment for an organization of
1100 personnel.
? Coordinated the installation and training of a $70,000
power supply upgrade for 22 Communication Vans increasing the
transmitting capability of the organization.
Operations/Communications Supervisor/Visual Information Manager.
Responsible for training programs for an organization of 370
personnel. Directed operations, created policies and procedures
associated with Visual Information. As a communications officer,
served as communications advisor to the Chief Executive Officer,
supervised personnel, maintenance and operations of all
communication systems assigned to 500 personnel.
? Recognized for successful management of an $880,000 visual
information project to include planning, contracting, personnel
management and equipment procurement.
? Achieved noted success as manager of the organization's
communication security (COMSEC) account and materials valued at
approximately $1.8 million.
Training Manager/ Executive Officer. Responsible for staff
planning, training operations, forecasting and allocating
resources impacting an 1150 person organization. Supervised and
managed food service and logistics operations. Directed
training, coordinated, and administered employee job task
testing to 634 personnel at a 100% passing rate operations for
basic training soldiers.
. Managed the operation and maintenance of $85,000 worth of radar
detection systems at a 100% operational rate, meeting all
training and job requirements.
