PROJECTS
‘SUBSTATION DESIGNING’ designed a substation with switching gears and other electrical components taking care of
different safety requirements and also calculated the short circuit current flowing through a fault using different cases.
‘POWER SYSTEM DESIGNING’: considering conditions like installment cost of the power system a network is designed
which included its power plant architecture and its conditions, calculated the positive, negative and zero sequence parameters of
the corresponding transmission lines, per unit parameters of the new power system was found, with specified constraints on the
generator and load buses the power system was analyzed. A steady state single ground fault condition was applied and the fault
currents and voltages was analyzed and then protection zones were defined.
‘INDUSTRIAL TRAINING in the company BOMBARDIER(the leader in rail transportation system)’ : The electronics
related to locomotives was studied here. Traction converters and auxiliary converters components were seen and studied in detail.
Allocated the electronics test lab where I had to perform tests like burnin, functional tests on cards in VCU’s(vehicle control
units),CCU’s(converter control units) and ACU(auxiliary converter units) and debug the faults, which are the part of control
electronics in locomotives for propulsion.
‘INDUSTRIAL TRAINING OF DCS AND PLC’s’ in IOCL,BARODA: studied the working of plc’s and dcs
systems of different configurations of different companies like ABB,YUKOGAWA etc.
