JAMES R. SHIPP
Change maker.
My track record for increasing revenue and creating programs that are a return on the
marketing investment by the company, make my talents a needed asset. At Western
Newspapers’ PNI division, circulation increased 30% with my efforts in forming the
marketing department and ad space percentage by 18% as the director. All while creating
the Book of Lists for the county and developing a coupon book and local magazine.
My core competencies are solid in marketing, media, sales
management and training. As General Manager of Grenax Broadcasting in Flagstaff, one of
three stations were off the air for an entire month and I creatively managed to maintain the
revenue budget for that month and increase it the following month by over 15% when the
flagship station returned on air. For the past two years these efforts have continued in full
as a consultant with several clients in Arizona
