Accomplishments:
1. Reduction of defects (PPM) Parts per Million from a total of
10,000 to 4 in less than18 months of all outgoing products. Zero
Defects is the ultimate Goal.
2. The primary reasons for the massive PPM reduction in a
relatively short amount of time (above) was due to: Amplified
Vendor Relations (increased vendor / Quality Control face-to-
face meetings. The frequency of meetings as well as the
expectations and responsibility of multiple vendors also
contributed.)
3. Scrap Reduction (Scrap - PPM) of incoming vendor goods which
allowed us to achieve the significant reduction in our outgoing
PPM numbers.
4. Promoted and initiated needed additional internal training of
quality personnel, which resulted in the QS 9000 approval of 3
separate (Suppliers to FORD) facilities.
5. Technical writing skills allowed me to fulfill Quality System
and necessary Revision from VDA (European-German) to QS 9000
(USA).
6. Participated in APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning)
meetings during development/change of products.
7. Development and implementation of PPAP (Production Part Approval
Process) which included the DFMEA, PFMEA, MSA and the PSW of the
machining of products.
8. Acquired the trust and decision making ability from the (UAW)
United Auto Workers to myself as well as the entire Quality
Department.
9. Use and knowledge of the TWO's database system as well as
management and personal experience. Comprehension of the
aforementioned resulted in the ability to manage and schedule
daily duties/pay/attendance/overtime of 7 quality coordinators
Community Service
Served as a baseball, basketball, recreational soccer and select
soccer coach for several seasons. In addition to coaching, I spent
several seasons a baseball umpire and a soccer referee. Being a
coach, umpire and referee helped me in decision- making and allowed me to
improve my people skills. I have also donated massive amounts of time to
my children's schools as well as our church.
