. Characterized the first interaction of the gold precursor with the

supports using the FTIR, solid-state and solution-state NMR, and XAS

. Studied the transformation of the catalyst precursor into gold

nanoparticles by identifying the decomposition kinetics and

mechanisms using the GC, GC/MS, and UV-Vis
