PROJECTS AND LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE

• Post Surgical Robotic Assistant: Led a group of 4 and programmed a 4 DOF robotic arm to sort out medical tools using

webcam as a visual aid. The project was programmed using Matlab’s pattern recognition technique. Demonstrated leadership

skills by assigning the tasks to the team members and taking lead in programming the robot. (2010)

• Parking Structure with Safety Features: In charge of designing a parking structure with a Keypad, LCD, infrared proximity

sensors, magnetic sensors, and a buzzer on Motorola MC68HC11 in a group of three. The prototype would activate the buzzer

when a vehicle occupies two parking spaces. (2009)

• Modulation and Demodulation of signals: Using Matlab coding, designed a Modem by using modulation techniques like

QPSK, OQPSK, and OFDM. The design aspects were pulse shaping function, matched filter, AWGN channel, PA, and HPA.

Used problem solving skills to program the two different signals. (2009)

• Squelch Circuit Noise Reduction Circuit: Managed and designed a squelch circuit that would use the input of an AC signal

and reduce the noise and convert it to DC signal in the form of an LED. (2008)

• Stop-watch using logical gates: Accomplished the creation of a stop-watch using logical gates and integrated circuits like

74LS193 Binary counters, 74LS00 NAND gate IC, 2114 1Kx4 RAM, 14495 decoder driver IC. The watch was created using

two 7-segment displays that would go to 59 and reset to 0. It can be stopped manually and would reset to 0 manually. (2008)
