AUTOMATION RESOURCES LLC. 2009 - 2010
AUTOMATION engineer Mehoopany, PA
. Stationed at the PG plant, primarily responsible for design of electrical
control systems for a new conveyor lines for baby care products.
. Upgraded several napkins line with a robo-cylinders to control the print
alignment, worked with various contractors to coordinate the above
installation, performed software and hardware debug.
. Updated plant wide Wonderware SCADA system for new conveyors. Installed
and configured numerous FactoryTalk View SE stations for a new napkin
line.
thermal product solutions 2004 - 2009
Senior electrical engineer White Deer, PA
. Performed design of oven electrical control systems. Handled hardware
design, motor selection, conduit sizing, wiring and component selections.
Entered BOM in BPix (MRP), draw single phase and three phase power
circuits; many ovens contained a small PLC and a VFD.
. Programmed PLCs, PACs and HMI for ovens. Performed troubleshooting and
resolved design and manufacturing problems.
. Played a key roll in obtaining the Intel Preferred Quality Supplier award
in 2006 and 2008 for TPS.
. Provided tech support to Intel personnel; assisted in implementation of
CIPs supporting more than 500 ovens. Installed and configured Wonderware
HMIs for Intel; these HMI controlled up to 5 ovens per link, each oven
consisted of an Idec PLC and a datalogger.
. Designed several ovens for the semiconductor industry, which contained
multiple lanes. Programmed the robot to move the product into different
lanes. Utilized Allen Bradley Kinetix system for motion control, Device
Net for I/O, and a Panel View Plus 1500 for the HMI.
. Accountable for complete electrical and software design for sterilizers.
Used Allen Bradley Compact and Control Logix PLCs. Performed FAT and SAT.
Created custom Active X control in Delphi plugging into RS View SE and
iFix providing batch reporting.
. Handled complete electrical and software design for an oven consisting of
various sensors to monitor dew point, oxygen levels, temperature, etc.
Utilized Wonderware InTouch for the HMI, and created several Active X
controls that communicated with Microsoft SQL server. Automatically
created a batch file at the end of the cycle for importing into Excel.
. Designed a oven control system for the Pharmaceutical that utilized a
Compact Logix PLC, Panel View Plus 700 for the HMI, and a Pneumatic
control system for raising and lowering the door to allow operators to
remove and insert product, and Banner Light Curtains for safety.
. Reversed engineered several products for Tiros, a purchased company.
Controls systems were written in FoxPro and a custom controller. Debugged
and corrected problems. On one oven, replaced control system with an
Compact Logix PLC, Panel View Plus 1000 HMI, and Copley Accelnet for
motion control.
