of Liebherr suspension crossmember. Did in process and final weld

in-house tests involving hydrogen cracking of T1 steel to determine preheat

guidelines for fabrication of heavy plates that reduced costs. Developed

computerized model to program Cloos GMAW-P parameters for robotic welding.

Served as active member on AWS D14.3 subcommittee and headed and completed

subcommittee technical project. Worked with Edison Welding Institute to

completed subcommittee projects. Worked with research team at the

University of Kentucky Center for Manufacturing to develop novel uses of

produce Marine Loading Arm systems per customer specifications.

with carbon steels, stainless steel, duplex stainless steel, aluminum

bronze, and aluminum. Qualified welding procedures on SS and low alloy

carbons steels for acceptable impact values at -320 F and -50 F

respectively. Trained welders to use a combination of Mig-short circuit,

GMAW, FCAW, and SAW to increase productivity and quality. Did in process

and final weld inspection.
